  3. Hi Found this forum while looking for photos of 40L70 and FCE7 Light anti aircraft equiptment. I served with 12 Lt A D Regiment Royal Artillery Joined the regiment when it was 12 Ack Ack, shortly before it became Light Air Defence (LAD), sometime while we were in the Far East it became Air Defence, it them became just 12 regiment RA. Joined 12 in dec 1961 (Ack Ack) with just the 40L70 with the Meadows Genny. All pulled with AEC Matadors. Both Landrovers and Austin Champs were used for forward OP's and other duties. AEC Millitant was used to tow the 4 Mk7 radar with a Matador used to tow it's genny, again the meadows. The Bedford RL's were also used as were Austin K9 and the armoured pig. Leyland Martians were not seen in 12 till we returned to Germany from Malaya, three per sub Militant was used to tow the 4mk7 Radar with a Martian used to tow the genny. I live not too far from Colchester. Have an interest in all classic transport I own and run a one of 1950's special registered as a DLM 1 I think I have already met a couple of members from the forum at car / transport shows. Looking forward to many hour on here Roger
