1. I thought I posted a message here yesterday but I can't find it so here is a rough repeat.
We are interested in CW and have a good knowledge of the topic as can be seen here http://www.ryhdymwynvalleyhistory.co.uk/
We are currently writing a book on the whole CW industry from 1937 until 1945 when production ceased until its total destruction in 1960 except for small amounts later destroyed at Porton Down including a 20 ton "Museum Sample" of pyro.
We are currently looking at gas detector paint which seems to have ranged from use on letter boxes to all military vehicles, including Skuas, Lanacasters, Dakotas, Spitfires, Dakotas, brassards and helmets at D-Day. It seems that most of the brassards and paint used by US troops on D-Day were manufactured vy the UK under Lend/Lease agreements.
I know the deep knowledge military vehicle enthusiasts have concerning paint and signs and hope I may be able to help with this.
Regards
Colin
