  2. not to bad a job, but i would recomend skimming the manifolds as a pair as if they are not dead flat the gasket will blow again.
  3. roller uses much less paint. when spraying a lot of paint lands up on the floor.

  5. I had only been in the army a couple of months when 2 recruits were walking on the ranges one picked up a morter bomb, result 2 recruits less and us on funeral parade. Lesson learnt in the most harsh way.

  8. I have a minecab rl as in picture 2. Nice to see in service picture. These pictures are so much better than refrence books because of unoffical mods ect. When people say they were never like that we can prove them wrong. Keep posting the pics thanks

  10. The clip on the back is a belt clip not a bicycle type. Anyone know what the battery no is ?
  11. the distance peice is to get the correct tension on the thackery washer this allows the silencer to twist in relation to the chassis mounted bracket.
  12. the flat pins on the bulb is the same as a lot of european bulbs.
  13. Its when it is down. This restricts the supply of air so richens the mixture.

  16. Thee is a knack to it but once mastered not to bad, there is a rollover frame overhead to hang onto and swing into the drivers seat.

  19. for normal tyre inflation you should be OK to inflate without using a cage or similar devise, but a visual check to make sure everthing is seated is allways a good thing. The palm couplings are Red for Emergency and yellow for service brakes .
  20. Try on the old logbook first,if the details on the bike and logbook are correct I see no reason why they shouild refuse. I have done it twice at the local licencing office and a new v5 issued , but they had to be MOTed then and this was done as normal.

  22. Atomic Weapons Depot at Aldermaston had at least 2. one was in there recycling yard looking complete about 18 months ago
  23. The wheels and axles were taken off and were put into the back body with the top half of the cab this was 1 plane load. The chassis was fitted with casters at each corner the steering coloumn was unbolted from the bulkhead and lowered and the corner of the bulkhead was removed then this was another plane load. I think there was also some wooden plugs that were inserted into the fuel lines or perhaps the hydraulic lines. It was all so much trouble that I think it was rearly done. Also the war in the far east finished before the need was there.
