An old friend of mine was cleaning/oiling his F&S fighting knife, door bell rang constantly, got up to answer it, returned sat on sofa knife blade went through thigh flesh (it had fallen between cushions) luckily no major veins severed 😫.

Hi Pete,
Learning something new every day. Slightly off topic but the FANYs were referenced in an episode of 'Then Churchill Said To Me'. Being a Frankie Howerd type of thing I assumed it was a made up name for comedic value of the episode. Obviously not.

A matador with 5.5 inch gun and a quad with a limber and 23pdr gun regularly attend the veterans show at Weymouth, just need consideration when parking the units up whilst out and about ! 😁

Hi, I'm starting a restoration of a 40-year-old Triumph 3 hw, I would need both engine and cycling used material. Who could help me with the necessary material?
I would need a front headlight, atarga and rear taillight, full bell clutch, front saddle with springs and bolts, amal carburetor. Thank you in advance to those who can help me. My number 0039 338 2860617 Massimo Giannotti Italy -
though a bit of time has passed since last post ….thought all gate guardians range wrecks belonged to Bovington (tank museum) ?

German WW2 aluminium helmets
in Clothing/uniforms
Posted
The subject of German helmets is fraught with refurbed, repainted, relined and generally fake helmets.
The black one with the Swastika decal is completely repainted with fake decals applied in my opinion.
The SS helm mmmmmm ! aluminium was used during and post war and i have a nagging thought that those decals only ( i could be wrong !) only appeared on Transitional helmets ...WW1 shells
Those with combes were fire helmets and were lightweight with a crude M34 liner never issued to be used by the Wehrmacht.
Sorry just my take on what i see........ 😞
