  1. Finally found a nice 1964 Pattern,now just need a Khaki(got plenty of green)KF shirt.
  2. My apologies for being an idiot, did have a quick look. Needed to double check before they go up on Ebay. Cheers
  3. Just dug out a pair of metric 90/104/120 DPM Windproof SAS trs that have a CT1A/1121 code, any ideas please date wise?
  4. Will try and dampen the label slightly as that sometimes can reveal some hidden/faint details. Thanks.
  5. Just having a rummage/sort out and have come accross another DPM Para Smock that I didnt know I had,METRIC sized and,NO FFD pocket and no stitch marks etc to indicate its removal. Label is somewhat faded but can make out 170/96 ??????& CO maybe and CT4B/258?? NZ zip,non maker marked pop studs(ring type).
  6. All from the same guy, couldnt get any info other than he was Royal Engineers and the kit was his during Op Granby. Nothing special other than of course the nice pre metric Arctic Windproof trs and the nice period Shemagh.
  7. Sealed S10 Filter which interestingly along with various other NSN numbers, barcodes etc has a price of £8.50 on it. DC1aESL/0051 JUNE 2003
  8. And until now, here was me thinking I was the only person with one of these:nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut::nut:.
  9. Goes to show that bargains ARE out there but I am not generally that lucky or jammy most of the times. Was watching last week also a job lot that looked from the pics to include what Im sure was one of those pre metric labelled "Falklands" Parkas with a Pre Metric labelled liner as well which I didnt think existed. Needles to say on my limited low budget I missed out but still went fairly cheap IF it was what I thought it was. Not sure if winner is a member on here but they knew what they were buying as they also won a poorly described early composite Para Helmet-bloody snatched both away from me,heeeeehhh,no hard feelings as my bid was fairly low on both but always worth a punt. Wish I could afford to spend more on my collection but just cannot justify the money involved when have more important things that need buying and paying for unfortunately.
  10. Many Thanks to all who have replied and will have to do some research on 19th Brigade. Had my suspicions that it was a non Parachute Regiment smock due to the wings being sewn quite low? and no evidence of a DZ patch having been sewn underneath. Im not one of these who like to gloat about prices like some do but thought all my Christmas,s had come at once when it arrived. Was doing a quick casual Ebay search last week when this popped up as a Buy It Now for £8.50+£3.00 postage so was crapping myself trying to hit the buy button before I was sure somebody else would, didnt even check out all the pics or the description as figured out that whatever it turned out to be,at that price was worth the gamble. Believe me,I am NEVER that lucky unlike the people who always manage to find gems at car boot sales for a £1 so am well happy.
  11. Perfect timing for me for a changed and bagged this bargain. Im not one to get excited by DPM colours etc but must say the colours on this(for a Para Smock) are amazing. Cuffs have unfortunately gone and the zip looks like it is a replacement(old Lightning)zip but love it,my best Para Smock by far. Pics on the way as soon as I can, anybody able to ID the shoulder patch please? Many Thanks
  12. The one pictured has no size label, tried it on,I wear a 58 and its too big for me(not sure if adjustable) so would estimate easily a 59. Thanks
  13. Not sure where the pics have gone but this can now go as taking up too much room if anybody is interested in buying or trading. Thanks
  14. Had a few of these and while they are not 100% accurate I like them. The reenactors prefer the(are they still available?)Panzerfaust repros and while they are lighter weight material and colours are better they feel and sound like you are wearing an 80s nylon shell suit!! Noticed a few of the Silvermans ones on Ebay lately including a few modified with period full length zips. Prices of original smocks have gone through the roof while original trs can still be bought cheaply enough.
  15. Yes,a Stadium Project 4 according to the label. Have a mix of Stadiums and Cromwells, this was top of the pile.
  16. Will try and take some better pics If I can. This was the first helmet taken from the box so no idea what condition the others are in but this one looks pretty good and complete.
  17. DDPM Helmet Cover still sealed in original bag with following on label--- DC2CESL/3129 COONEEN WATTS & STONE LTD 2010.
  18. Not sure if Im right in thinking in that DMS boots were a throw away item in that the soles/heels etc cannot be replaced when worn out? As for boots being cheap to re sole, not in my experience they havent which is a shame-cheaper to buy a new pair when the heels/soles wear out.
  19. Loath to throw a brand new pair of boots in the bin but no point keeping as they seem to be getting worse by the day, just hope that the assault boots(when I find them)havent suffered the same fate:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
  20. Is it just a sign of the times/poor quality as have boots from various countries from the 40s,50,60s and they are non the worse, same goes for 70s DMS,BCH and Granby Desert Boots.
  21. Thanks guys, not good then and just hope the ones sent to Spain fair a bit better but not looking good>>
  22. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221915235185?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Just dug out an unissued pair of the same type of Desert boots as in the above link, had for about 5 or 6 years stored away and was going to wear them for work. Noticed that the soles/heels felt very soft and springy-so much so that chunks are coming away and they are now fit only for the bin. Had heard stories of similar problems with the first issue boots issued during Granby, hence the pics of troops wearing varied footwear and a lot of private purchase suede type boots. Cannot remember when bought if the soles/heels were as soft, pliable or what would have caused this as they werent stored away anywhere cold, dark damp or anywhere in direct sunlight to be honest. Hope this isnt a problem common with this type of boots as a few days prior to me trying mine on,sent a similar pair to a Spanish Ebayer and hope he doesnt have the same problems/issues with his boots. Many Thanks
  23. You dont see much at DPM 60 Patt on Ebay but these last couple of weeks there have been a few smocks and trs but alas in the smaller sizes. Ebay is a bit weird in that you could easily go say 6 months without seeing a single item of 60 Patt DPM then all of a sudden they all start appearing out of the woodwork at the same time.
