  3. Broadcast over a certain Police forces radio net ' Your vehicle index number XXXXXXXXX Vulva, colour Green, recived' Whatever happned to the time of innocence when Muffin the Mule was considered childrens entertainment?
  4. Does this mean... theres no Easter BUNNY... :shake: I blame the aliens at Area 57 coming here and flattening our corn.. mutter..mutter
  5. Hi Jack. Have you tried a gentle application ogf the gass axe? how is the spacer fitted. Looking at the photos it appears to slip on , but the dip in the middle looks suspect. Can you get a puller round it? Are any adjuster full off? A few bongs with the Lego master key at this point. Relives your sstress if nothoing else.
  6. We are getting into silly grounds of 'Replicas', no one knows what the hell is going on. Most firearms rules are 'guidlines' ie what the chief consatble wants. About time ACPO went back to policing not polotics. Buy de-acs, those have no arguments.
  7. NOT ME, I do get lost ocassionally but not that bad  Any way if he didn't land on the moon them my Mum got me up ay at 1 o'clock in the morning for nothing.
  8. Oy Oy.. I drive buses.. and no I don't belive in timetables. Buses are a very good useful service to the community. There use cuts the carbon footprint, exhaust emmisions and lessens traffic amounts. Now if we can only get rid of the passengers they will run on time.
  9. British military call them Bombay heatears http://babelfish.altavista.com/ try the link . just type in it translates.
  10. Bloody hell mate! In Ireland and STILL tempting me. Theres a S3 one on the forum as well. :-(
  11. South East edge of London OK. Some heavy showers but touch wood. DUKWs will be getting popular.
  12. Yeah, I come from Jersey, still some bad memories over there. But time passes. Soldiers are still becoming casualties. The next few years will see anumber of vents, next year will be the 90th anniversary of the end of the Great War. 2009 the 65th anniversary of D-Day, 2010 65 since end of WW2.
  13. God. I remember dozens of these as a kid. They were used in Jersey to transport the Jersey Royal new spuds to the docks in the days when they were shipped in wooden drums. all were painted grey. No idea what happened to them or the DUKWs that for years were used to take tourists to Elizabeth Castle.
  14. Woah, idea's snowballimg. Quite right. when you think about it we have a large range of vehicles, which are in demand for all sorts of events. Many times we do it for nothing.. or.. even..PAY :shake: to show them. Surley we could lean on commercial organisers that a donation to service charities is seen to occur. I'm sure many members feel like me that should a local forces charity ask for vehicles it is a duty to try and attend.
  15. Sorry Rick there seem to be so many spellings, Ypres is now Ieper, the Flemish Belgians can get very touchy about that. Fortunately being English , most of them speak good english and they will allow me to get away with French. Only ever met one rude person over there and they were an import.
  16. Thanks Guys. nice to have support. Now if those words can be translated to French German and if someone knows Flemish, that will put the icing on the cake. :-D
  17. Try Steve Rivers at Dalla's Autos.
  18. A car licence is NOT a provisional licence for PSV or LGV vehicles. To start with before you even get a provisional for C or D you must undergo a medical. Pre 1990 licences do include track H as a provisional entitelment. Pre 90 licence allows D1, up to 16 seats including driver, and C1 which vehicle up to 7.5 tons GVW.
  19. Have you tried the Army Rumour Service ARSSE? :schocked:
  20. You got it Andy . something like that. All suggestions wanted.
  21. Never mind, one door closes and some bugger the other side sniggers.
  22. Following discussions with Jack, as Steve Mc Guire and I will be attending the 90th Anniversary of Passendale in a fortnight. the idea is proposed that a wreath be laid on behalf of the forum. The important thing is the wording. We are a multi national forum. Sod polotics what's under the bonnet? So ALL who died are worthy of Remembrance. The proposal is that all members of the forum should put £1 in the local British Legion box as their individual contribution to the wreath. Ladies, Gentlemen and the rest of us. Over to you.
  23. There was a Land Rover off roader painted fluorescent yellow underneath. when I asked the owner why he just grinned and said' Well you'll find me in the ditch'.
  24. In Normandy if you own house and certain amount of land plus apple tress, you can makeyour own. There are even people with licences for mobile stills who go round and distill it for you. Not really a good idea to have some of the stuff touch metal though. For the experimental amonst us, get cider put in freezer. When slushy filter out ice and keep re freezing till it won't any longer. No nacked flames though. Looking out the window this morning, if I can see anything for the rain, It'll be the Beltring Boat show. :captain:
