Certainly looks like its a car body on a Jeep chasis, they are Jeep axles and wheels, another Jeep wheel in the background...I.'ve seen similar pictures of re bodied Jeeps after the war

A lot of jeeps post war were converted to 12v and and often a larger dynamo fitted, leaving no room for a large battery in the tray so it was moved to between front seats, this was for military radio use

Why would a military hillman minx that carried an Officer and a briefcase need a roof rack? I don't recall seeing any wartime photos of one, .. the Desert equiped Humber Snipe had a roof rack, but then it would need it in the desert

I thought the 4x4 drive on the Bedford JT was a conversion fitted by the All Wheel Drive company, there were some other converters too, it was not made by Bedford

All ww2 Bantam trailers had a straight Lunette tow hitch, the Cranked hitch was Post war modification so the hitch could be rotated to allow the trailer to be towed by other vehicles of higher tow hook height than a jeep, and as you say with the lunette in the lower position makes a better angle for the trailer behind a jeep

The Bermondsey T34 Tank, "Stompie" has been restored and now advertised for sale on Milweb at RR Services for £110,000. ..RR's originally sold the T34 tank to the previous owner in the 1990's
