  1. Just noticed some camo nets as well.
  2. Depends what she does after work.
  3. A quantity of ex MOD stillages amongst other curious things. https://tsauction.atgportals.net/auctions/8497/ibts10306?page=7&pageSize=60
  4. It went through Wellers Auction in Guildford sometime in 1986, good to know it was still in use for a few more years. I'd like to think it's still around somewhere, stored in a barn ready for me to find although reality would suggest it probably disintegrated.
  5. 05GX38 was factory black, one of a batch of 3 sold the same day, the other two identical apart from square headlights.
  6. No luck finding the drawbar I'm afraid. Where it broke is very rusty so it's been missing a while. I will keep an eye out for it, you never know. I did find a bad photo of the plate from 2014 but I doubt it's of use...

    05 GX 38

Just found this rather grainy photo of my much missed 1978 Escort. Bought Jan 84 from BCA at Farnborough for £750. It was unregistered and had the keytag '05 GX 38'. I believe it spent most of it's life at Thatcham. I've always wondered if anyone can explain the curious 3 mirror arrangement? This is as it came from the MOD, there wasn't a mirror on the left door.
  8. Next opportunity I have to go for a mooch in the undergrowth I'll have a look for it but it's unlikely.
  9. I did. I thought it was long gone but it resurfaced recently and now unfortunately minus it's drawbar. I suspect it's time has come...
  10. Hope these could be of interest... https://bid.tsauction.co.uk/auctions/catalog/id/159/Farm-Machinery-Contractors-Plant Lot 34, wheels and axle Lot 204 trailer
  11. Sorry about the multiple posts, can't seem to edit the originals. More military on pages 5 and 6.
  12. Just in case the link doesn't work, Stilltime, farm, page 4, about halfway down.
  13. Found this picture on stilltime website... https://www.stilltimecollection.co.uk/collections/Farm?p=13&qv=2aa71ffb-4d6c-49c5-b5af-5b727d6b5af7#Property [ sku] not found in Stilltime Picture Content Model
  14. Thanks for the link. I was thinking airfield tractor perhaps but obviously now missing it's loader.
  15. Massey Ferguson 20F Highway with '90KG98' reg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195550681203?hash=item2d87ba9873:g:7CoAAOSw1HxjX24m&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsEb%2BW%2BoWRuiWIGXZ88oiSzXfuQKWey5IEQqAxS0KdhSfuM48wkww70HB%2BoT6Xt9eFvxxO2kl3bImAiv57wIQguW16KtjJpPdjjJ6u8PxADl01YK%2BGq96IKnctRWw%2FOuJWyhsdkdU8s4xR7RUbWbpWPYhnBjzFps11nEsd8MK5srrAqHhBjXEsdaTZWmyjpyvbn7WBC2NO3xa0hFjZs%2BjqAwA6MY9oaZuHi4tipcu9TfD|tkp%3ABk9SR4SZ26S2YQ

  17. Don't know anything about this, hopefully someone does! http://www.dmhtractors.co.uk/Trailers.html
  18. Depending how desperate you get, I know of a Ford D0607 local-ish to you that has a good axle in it, maybe the diff/pinion could be machined to fit perhaps.
  19. Several from this seller. No connection. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_ssn=123catblack&_sop=10
  20. I'm sure I've seen a very similar picture in archives at Farnham Museum, but the background in that picture could be clearly landmarked as being over Farnham.
  21. Hadn't thought of that! It's weird how your brain can see what it wants to see - in this case a vehicle.
  22. I think these post war archives are fascinating and found this film. Question is, around 4:50 to 4:55 there's a glimpse of what looks to my warped view of the world like the top of a Land Rover. Obviously isn't - so what could it be?
  23. Interesting stuff. Without any guidance I would have thought at that age they were Pos earth. Is there a reason for the neg earth or was that just a 50's/60's thing?
