  1. I did look at this a couple of sales ago, quite smart and the bidding stopped I believe at £9000? (the landie)
  2. Hi All, I am still looking for a WW2 bike in any condition now, I seem to have picked a time to search when several people are looking, cash available. I have looked at Toms one and sadly it's not for me but an Ariel, Triumph or Royal Enfield would be nice. I would like to get something that's either complete that needs work or not. I didn't want postwar but there are certainly a lot more available in that era. Cheers.I will keep looking in all the normal websites.
  3. Thanks for that, looking into it.
  4. Thanks for that, there are several M20 about as you say, the G3L on Milweb sold over two weeks ago although the advert is still there, I was very keen but missed it.It may have to be an M20 but I was hankering after something different. It is my intention to buy a nice runner and also another project to tinker with as well, so I am looking in both camps.
  5. Hi, still looking for a nice WW2 British motorbike, cash available up to 8 grand, tried most of the known sites. Anyone know of anything? Many thanks.
  6. That's great news, well done to everyone.Good to hear in this day and age, people giving.
  7. Well done, I saw it being setup, anyone know just how much money it raised?
  8. I am sure someone on here was looking for one of these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1943-WW2-Airborne-Everest-Load-Carrier-Airborne-BSA-Parabike-British-Army/283524402773?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  9. I have a new one in its cardboard box that I bought a few years ago for my Jeep , it has been tried, I would sell it but I am not sure of its worth.
  10. I did manage to buy a new box from them about five years ago, about 250 quid I think. they were very helpful at the time.I wouldn't recommend trying to repair it as I understand it can go horribly wrong. However there are some clever people on here. Other vehicles also had them on but often different gearing, I once 'borrowed' one from a sugar beet harvester and needed twice as many revolutions of the steering wheel to get round.
  11. We already do! Yes they do get a few items, but not as many as they did when they used to have dedicated sales for Military items.( I can nearly see you from where I live too)
  12. Strangely, they are not the ones I originally posted!
  13. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/522841611515515 Just seen these for sale, there are two of them
  14. Well I expected it to be still around, it was in nice order when I sold it.
  15. I had HMJ 951F which is very strange.
  16. I have seen them hanging underneath military unimogs. A convoy following light I believe.
  17. Is it not BS 224 Deep Bronze Green?
  18. If you look at the left hand side stitching does it look like it may be a reused label?
  19. I am afraid that I do not know the correct answer for this , but personally I wouldn't want a filter on the bottom of the stack pipe, in the past I have had problems here with bits sticking to them that wouldn't go up the pipe anyway .
  20. Depends where you live, there is one for sale in Ely, Cambs complete .I think the chap wants 800 quid and will take it down for that . I can get a phone number if you want.
  21. There's one on Ebay for 8K, saw it earlier
  22. That's what I meant Richard, can't see people going to both. However W&P have their faithfull followers.
  23. You may be right about desperation, I think Military World show is the same week.
