  1. we're off down to the porthcurno telegraph museum on Sunday - some tight lanes that far down west! should be fun!
  2. we're off to davidstow for armed forces day - but will no doubt catch up soon!:-)
  3. having just joined the MVT best attend. you off to anything else this year?
  4. Tony B Re: - a hello from Cornwall Starting small then?:-D Tony the other truck i was considering was a leyland hippo - i must say a truck does has a certain presence on our cornish lanes! So then Cornishbloke and cornishmade where ee from then?
  5. well i've done it - bought a truck - no doubt some have seen it before!
  6. many thanks Jack, will keep an eye on the A&E site - is there going to be a cut off date for tickets?
  7. Hi all, its probably not quite the correct place on the forum to put this question but i'm hoping someone can answer it. We are considering coming up to A&E for the Saturday & Sunday - two adults and three sprogs from 12 to 15- car and tent/caravan - got no problems with the booking fee (can't quite see how it can really be done for the money per head). Anyway, if we are coming up as 'spectators' (we do British WW2 re-enactment) are there any particular places we should go to see the convoy - realise Newton Maiden is just down the road and would like to take this in as well, but we would like to take part with the vehicles just that little bit more. Any pointers more than welcome.
  8. afraid you won't find much other than rubbish in the skip from our work - all the metal gets taken out for the christmas fund!!
  9. the two sayings that spring to mind are: there's money in muck & one mans muck is another mans treasure! (both true).
  10. Hi Michael, Welcome to the forum, we're next door to Devon so no doubt will meet somewhere at some point. Enjoy the wealth of information available on here! Regards Steve
  11. great pic enigma - my missus says she's jealous, not sure if she meant the snow or the jeep! Anyway no snow in Cornwall i think we had our 10 year quota last year - totalling 2 days! Instead we've got rain for a change!
  12. Andy, thanks for the welcome i'll dig some photo's out and put them on here.
  13. yes we met at Preston's do and again at the one a fortnight later (airfield name escapes me) - you're definately correct in the time i've spend in here so far and more to come. still havent sorted out a truck, but got somewhere to store one as the boss said i could use the spare workshop at work - 15 x 15 metres x 6 metres high - reckon we could fit something big in there!
