  15. You will properly find the RAF took the rather vulgar metal locker off the front to instal a mahogany drinks cabinet. The Bren gun is also removed and a soda syphon installed in its place.
  16. Thanks Ted very helpful. I have just purchased a dingo, so I will mark it up as a RAF. Any further inf re markings for 2ATAF ? Richard not going to need the battle dress after all!

  18. Always wanted a dingo. Richard Farrant let me know about one just coming onto the market. Dashed down had a look, knew as soon as I saw it, it was the one for me. In good condition all the extras, ready to jump in and drive to a show. Collected it yesterday. Thanks Richard. Pictures to follow.

  20. Yes, do not have any pictures though.
  21. found a 1 gallon petrol/oil can. Top has the Canadian markings, a large c with a maple leaf inset. Bottom is marked GSW 1942. The size is different to a normal can this is shorter and 6X5 instead of 6X4.25. Was this for any specific vehicle or use.
  22. Going to drop the sump out of my mw to give it a clean out also appears to be leaking oil, although not a great deal. The new gasket comes in 4 parts does it actually form a proper seal and is it a bit of a git of a job.
  23. During the 1980's I was the RAF each station seemed to do it's own thing. In Germany we carried a first aid kit. In the UK not.
  24. I must admit I couldn't find any listing for a first aid kit or bracket for it. But it seemed a reasonable thing to be with the vehicle. When vehicles were issued to units they then decided what additional kit if any they needed then went ahead and fitted it. So I designed a bracket for a wartime first aid tin 10 X 8 X 2.5 inches. Then put a modern first aid kit inside that.
