  1. If the tyres has ribs inside then you should not fit tubes, as the ribs will rub through the tubes. (as i found out on my range rover!) tyres with ribs are designed to be used without tubes and usually have "tubeless" embossed on them somewhere. Hope it helps Baz

A group of of deranged military vehicle enthuiasts will be heading the the area of Camping Le Robinson in Colleville if anybody should brave bringing and bottle cider over! :whistle: heading over sat 2nd June and back the following weekend. Vehicles in convoy 1/2 Tone command car,1940 Oldsmobile 6, 1942 Jeep and the good ol Indian 741b, stay well clear some old drivers in the group!!!!! :-D Baz
  4. Have you ridden the Triumph recently? :whistle: Also, hate to tell you that it has rained recently in the UK, so the remains of your Landy will probably need to swept out of the garage!!! on the up side scrap value has increased.........hehehehehehe :-D See ya soon.
  5. despite the weather a really good turn out of vehicles, the really wide variety of vehicles from the usual number of Jeeps right through to a Sherman which was excellent to see being ragged around, nice one :-D. Beer tent was its usual party place in the evening, if not a little damp at times that didn't seem to dampen any spirits. Good show, well done the folks who put the hard work in to the preperation, especially the road signs, well done Bob :-D, shame about the weather :dunno:. Looking forward to next year already Baz
  6. Well finally finished the old gal, only took 3 years!!! :-o well its 99% done anyway, just got to make the storage box for front. its a 1952 Dunbar Kapple trailer, M100. All i need now is some markings on it, Anyone got any pictures or info of jeep trailer being used in the 50's? korea, germany? Baz
  7. Just thought i'd introduce myself, i'm Bodger Baz. I mess around with all sorts of vehicles from 4x4's (proper off roading job!) to trucks and Indian Motorbikes. Currently i have in my collection 1942 Willys MB, 1952 Dunbar Kapple M100 trailer, 1941 Indian 741, 1944 Indian 741, Bedford OXC and a Range Rover Bobtailk pick up. I also help friends and family look after some other vehicles including 1939 Ford 7V, 1943 Ford GPW x 2, 1944 Bren carrier (being restored), as well as some dodges and a DUKW.   8. A pair of wheels on a trailer on a farm nearby. They are indentical to Jeep rims even fitted with Goodyear 600x16 Bar grip (made in Luxemburg) But count the wheel nuts............. thats right 6! No signs of being modified, but could have been done very well.

  10. The screen on this one covers the full length of the rear panel and drops down a fair way as the propshaft goes through a cut out in the middle. Thanks for advice on the books will see what i can find. will be on your case when i need help. Baz
  11. Hi All, I'm after any information on Bedford Scammel OXC in particular the tanker variant with the extended cab back panel. I have one of these vehicles in need of restoration that i am planning to start this summer but i really dont know much about these Bedfords. The vehicle is still in its 1950's military trim complete with unit markings and military number 83 YY 65. Any help, info, picture etc will be great. Baz
