  1. Damn.. Just saw this.. Oh well. Thx for the help. Good price too.. New I can get it for £157 as it would be a special and have to be made to order. Neil.
  2. Thx again for the reply. I've had another suggestion of a Landrover series 3 clutch master cylinder but I'd have to change the pipework. What do you think?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-Series-3-Defender-Clutch-Master-Cylinder-/250819805502?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6606813e#ht_621wt_907 Again. Thx for the help. Neil
  3. Thx for the reply. Really appreciate it. I have no problems with buying an OEM item if I could just find one. As I'll be carrying quite a bit of weight and have a number of ideas for the expedition trailer, it's going to cost a couple of grand or more to build how I want it, so £100 will be money well spent. I just can't find the part. I've also seen this item on eBay which is similar, but currently the trailer is using 6mm pipe apparently (according to Mr brake man who is searching the planet for me) so I'd need probably to run a whole new braking system. If that suits, so be it. Would mean that I could get parts in the future eh?? eBay item: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320699500453&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_5540wt_1141 Only real issue I would have is that the braking system is fairly basic in design utilising the Bradley Hitch, but would probably mean making up a whole new mounting system and setting it up correctly. Would you like some more photos?? Any advice or suggestions are always greatly appreciated. Cheers. Neil.
  4. Hi all. I've recently joined the forum as I am turning a Sankey trailer into an expedition trailer and need some pointers on parts which I've made a post on. I've also got a disco 1 Es premium '98 which is slowly going through the offroad transformation. I'm a member of the Mid Sussex Landrover club, Discovery Owners Club and Sussex4x4response group, who offer help in times of adverse weather. We are always recruiting, have recently attained charity status and we are part of the National response network so there's a group near you if you fancy being involved. We've got the vehicles that will get anywhere when the weather gets bad. Check them out. Thx. Neil.
  5. Hi all. This is my first post and a bigee.. I'm after a master brake cylinder for a Disc braked Sankey, manufactured by Universal engineering. I've attached as much info as I can glean and put together, plus photos and approx. measurements which are on the photos. It would appear that the master brake cylinder also fits a Reliant Scimitar GTE 5a (but don't quote me on that ). A search on google seems to suggest it's the same and a photo of one seems to suggest they are one and the same. I've attached this photo as well. These are the part numbers from the trailer parts catalogue should that help. Reynaulds-Boughton Universal Trailers Ltd (This is shown as manufaturer on the plate attached to my trailer). Viking Trailers Ltd As stated I'm after the brake assembly, basically the master brake cylinder, reservoir and push rod which should come as part of it. Unfortunately the numbers on the side of the original aren't great so I've quoted as best as I can. On the side of mine it says LUCAS - and then what looks like 8y3?? And the other side is 01N 7326 or 01N 7226 or DIN 7326 or DIN 7226 (both of these aren't very readable). There is a black tag around it which has 68694 P4 X875 BS06. They are all a bit different but that's mainly in the electrics. But the brakes are the same. The reservoir is not listed as a separate item from the master cylinder which is 6MT9 2530-99-811-6988 Cylinder Assembly, Hydraulic Brake, Master, 7/8in dia bore, 1-7/16 max stroke, c/w push rod. Lucas 64068694, PMH124. Renaulds-Boughton BW208561. It also needs 6MT9 5340-99-811-6990 Cap, Protective, Dust & Moisture Seal, Rubber Friction type for 2-3/8 in OD Tube. Lucas 64476964, 68470060. Vauxhall 2690869. Terex 939384. Scammel ACU7667, AKU1123. Wordsworth Holdings SW721562. 6MT9 2530-99-811-6991 Boot, Dust & Moisture Seal, Synthetic Rubber, Convilute Type, 7/8 Min ID, 2-1/2 in Flange Dia, 2-1/16 LG. Lucas 64478356. Seddon Atkinson 6421651. I've spent a number of hours trawling through websites trying to source one and have 4 major parts services trying to match the part for me. Here are the piccys.. http://flic.kr/p/9HZ1Jz http://flic.kr/p/9J2Smh http://flic.kr/p/9HZ23x An an excerpt from the parts catalogue confirming the parts. I'm hoping that someone on here can help. :-D Cheers. Neil. Sankey master brake cylinder parts.pdf
