  2. Oh well done - now we are talking. Is it easy to get it as a runner?

The word is 'possible' it's far from easy, apart from all the obvious ancillary needs, fuel, coolant tanks etc it can't be run without a propellor or large 'flywheel'

Running one of these is not for the faint hearted! But great fun and very rewarding.

  3. I enjoyed the week at the Hop Farm this year despite the weather, it was good to be back a little closer to home.

I particularly liked the Gentlemans lounge and I thought the showers were very good especially the portable ones.

Only criticism as others was lack of toilets.

The Humber drove there and back faultlessly so that's always a bonus.

  4. Well the Morris PU has gone back in the barn to make way for my exciting new project, thanks to one our fellow forum members.

A 1938 Rolls Royce Merlin II as fitted in Spitfires and Hurricanes

There are a few bits still to source, so if anyone knows of any Merlin parts please let me know.

I also have two late series Merlin engines

  5. Hi Larry

i have recently used the Pur 15 from Frosts on my two Morris PU tanks and so far it has been very good, certainly holds fuel ok, its a bit of a long winded process, but needs to be done properly. bought two sets as there are 2x11 gallon tanks and had a fair bit left over, sadly this can not be used as it has a very short shelf life.

so all good from my view.

  6. Reluctantly letting my MCC CS8 go......

Usual story too many other projects!

I have owned this lovely early British truck for 10 years, although it needs a full rebuild it is 95% complete with all the early parts.

All you see in the photo is original, the engine is ceased solid but gearbox is good as is diff.

Serious interest only please PM me for more info. Looking for £6k
