  1. Must be great feeling walking that street full of these big historic beauty's. Myself I'm missing a place to keep all my T's inside so some have to stay outside sadly enough... Klaas
  2. The yellow you find everywhere under the green paint Maurice so I am pretty sure the Diamond had original desert colours. Besides its an very early one(chnr.980028 with spare tire in the middle balastbox) delivered to British Army and most probably at service in Africa. Klaas
  3. I am about to paint my Diamond T 980 in the final desert colour and want to make sure she gets the right one. Is there an Brittish Army ww 2 collar number avelable ? The remaining yellow colour, still visibele on the cab, seems to be a kind of dark yellow. I made a test colour on one door, but if its oke ?? Looks like camel trophy yellow seems to me. Klaas Boerema .
  4. Very good restauration. Compliments, beautifull truck !
  5. Yess, now I know what you mean, thank you. It is stored in the ballast body like all the other parts. Restauration has to wait a while, almost have finished my other T with the Volvo engine. Klaas.
  6. What is exactly a bulhead ? Yess its the Millweb one. I will put the dessert sand color on her, the collar it had 71 years ago on service in North Africa Klaas.
  7. Picked up today this very early 980 chassisnr 98000028. With spare wheel in the middle of the body. The only survivor of these first produced Diamond T's 980 ??? Klaas Boerema
  8. I live in Holland in the province Groningen. The bigger ww 2 vehicles have my interest. It begann with a GMC but got a little out of hands. Restored several trucks the last 14 years.A few Diamond T's, Ward la France, GMC. Waiting for restauration; Mack NR and 3 canadian Chevrolets. So a lot of work waiting. Regards, Klaas
  9. Lots of room on your Swedish trailer. When I am on my way with two T's it just fits !
  10. Sold the right T(B14) to Slovakia and the new owner is using her a lot. The other one is in my own collection together with the T Wrecker. The 981 with Volvo engine I am planning to sell also, and another 981 is waiting for restoration.
  11. Would be nice to visit you sometime. The man I bought it frome told me about the high speed because of the Volvo engine and Volvo gearbox, but I will test it myself when the truck is ready. At the moment I am working on the cab I found to replace the not original one. It is my fourth Diamond T restauration but I enjoy it like it was the first.
  12. Beautifull collection over there in Sweden Harper ! For my work as truckdriver I am a lot of times in Sweden and don't see ww 2 trucks often. Good to see there are T- fans over there too. At the moment I am restoring a 981 myself, ex Belgium with a Volvo engine. Not original engine of course but it drives normal speed. Hope my message and pictures comes over well; its my first. Best wishes from Holland for all in 2012, Klaas
