  1. I need to renew my insurance on my MRA1 by the end of the week. Is there a discount being a member of this forum?
  2. Hello there. I have a Morris MRA-1 who's weight is just below 3500KG. Can anyone explain whether the new MOT exemption rules will allow me to use the the vehicle laden (for personal non-comercial use).
  3. Hi there, The reason I asked the question with regards to changing the diff' was that I was thinking of putting the Turner Spicer 5 speed gearbox in.
  4. Hello there I'm not sure whether I introduced myself when I joined last July, so I case I didn't here goes it. I've had an interest in Military vehicles since the early 90's I've had my Morris Commercial MRA1 since 1996. It's been an ongoing project since then with it parked up doing now't for 99.9% of that time. I'm back on the case again. There are a few things I need to do though. I have a Leyland 6/98 fitted to the original crash gearbox though I'm considering fitting the 5 speed Turner Spicer gearbox and maybe fitting different Diff's to both front and rear axles.
  5. Hello there, I was looking for some advice with regards to my Morris MRA1 to which I fitted a 6/98 engine. I believe the 6/98 engine weighs somewhat more than the original engine and I was curious to whether this mean you should upgrade the shock absorbers/leaf springs? If so, what upgrades should be made? If not, does any one know what shock absorbers can be used as a replacement, as the part numbers from the "service and parts catalogue" do not come up with any answers when doing an Internet search. I'm also curious whether anybody has tried to fit a vacuum servo to their MRA1. I was wondering if an Alternator with a Vacuum pump fitted could be used to create enough of a vacuum or are there other alternatives? :undecided:
  6. I too have a MRA1 with a terrier engine fitted. I believe the 6/98 engine weighs more than the original engine. Does this mean you should upgrade the shock absorbers/leaf springs? If so, what upgrades should be made? If not, does any one know what shocks can be used as a replacement, as the part numbers from the "service and parts catalogue" do not correspond with any answers when doing an Internet search.I have also been told a 3.8 bmc diesel fits straight in and bolts straight onto the flywheel housing.
