The government banned meetings of more than 30 people, but the hopfarm was the one that shut down the show. That tells me quite a lot about the W&P organisers and how money rules, not safety. At least you can get a refund i guess, as a bonus, the toilets are clean this year.

i have for sale: a few 24v FFR ignitions and some leads / coils 24v alternators both dutch and uk style and a set of 24v petrol starter motors. and a load of series stuff like the gearbox guard plate, front axle casing with strengthener rib and a few items for a 3.5 rover V8 like SU carbs, 2x inlet manifold and 1x two barrel carb inlet manifold, 2x cylinder heads. is there any interest? they are in Holland but can put items on a pallet.

It indeed is a 2.25 5MB lump i rebuild from holiday and birthday money. It will be mated to a late 2a gearbox (one of the rare full syncro units) Dash will be made from computer panels and all stuff i can find.

Can the tank slosh desolve by a chemical and cleaned out the tank? A clean base to give it another try. Following as i got 2x 109 land rover military tanks and 2x 101 land rover tanks to do.

It is a young show and got lots to learn but if they listen to people then water and entertainment issues will get sorted. Free entry for early bookings is not that bad. Last year my dad was the only 101fc ambulance on site.

"I've never understood why people moan about the cost of getting to the show, no one is forced to attend, its your choice." not went for 3 years now, my dad the 101fc ambulance driver died last May... the extra charge did not help to get more toilets, and the value for money seemed to drop so why pay to get in that show? Friends that went this year ended it short and will not go back again. Time for other shows, keeping my eye on the one in Twente NL on how it develops and going for veterans days.

£1500 in costs.. One 109 petrol with sankey from north lincs, one 101fc ambulance from near amsterdam and a support car with trailer. Boat costs and fuel cost a lot, camping cost extra as there were 6 adults. Food costs not included.

If said show is for sale, the mvt buys it and rebrands it to take the bad feelings away i will join the club and visit the show.

That is why we took our own food and cooker. The engel fridge used batteries but chaging those was a problem. A gen set shall be build with a 2.2 BMC diesel as base with a 2a land rover main box to drive two generators giving a few kva. My wife and myself can't accept the toilet fee put on price of entry while she cannot make the trip by wheelchair and a bucket got used instead why pay for something you don't use? Toilets will always be a issue, the value for money feeling plays as we paid £1500 to get to the show with a 101fc and 109 with Sankey next to a crew support car. My wife is pissed on the new organiser as he called us allsorts to get in the show cheap. We shall see, we might just say no to the W&PR for ever. I do like smaller steam shows to show the vehicles and have fun.

So, it is business as usual, extra toilet charge did not help with extra toilets? Smaller show at more cost is what i read, it is a shame really. Under the last year of Rex, we even put up a show on the last day for exactly 5 people because it was what they came to see. My disagreement was of the trash being put in seperate bins for general waste, recycling and being dumped in a on site fire pit together.

It came out of a land rover that got a 5 main bearing 2.25 diesel as replacement. Off to the canal boat forum i go.

This week was spend working in the garden and getting the axles of two halfs of chassis. The springs need some work but can be fit to the 109 chassis when i can start welding and fabricating on it. The gearbox crossmember is one i did not see before, i will cut it out the chassis with some other features like a welded on steering damper bracket that was factory fitted for a pre railko bust front axle. Mongo gets a 2.25 petrol engine with LPG, i need to figure out if i can cram two tanks in there, with a military fueltank as extra under the seat. My seatbox has the box under the left seat where a 2nd battery was fitted on a diesel. Still, parts donations are great, if people want to donate some stuff i won't knock it.

It turns over freely and the fuel spill line is the same as a land rover for the banjo bits and glow plugs. For the most it is the minor plumbing that is missing and no starter or alternator. Still could be usefull for someone.
