  1. I have been looking at the BW Models 1/76th white metal kit of the Douglas PGM 17 Thor IRBM and its RAF trailer/Hippo tractor unit and considering one in 1/35th. Now the only kit available in that scale is the Waspe Hippo II with a GS body. After some initial research it seems the main difference is the doors, some window mods and the sloped front cab with a faired in radiator. Before I start hacking can anyone point out differences that I have missed? regards and thanks
  2. I apologise but can I hijack this thread for a little bit. I am building a 1/35th model of a Free State Army Crossley Tender circa 1921-4 as a present for someone currently serving in the Irish Defence Force Cavalry Squadron. I have a drawing from Irish archives and thanks to the members of this thread, a fair bit of photo references. However my trip to the RAF Museum at Hendon did not work out as intended and I appear to have no photo references for the instruments and controls, the rear undersides or the truck bed. If any one has any pictures and would be kind enough to share them I would be very gratefull. regards Paddy
  3. Morris I still have copies of the MilMod Hornet 1/35th drawings but not the article that went with them.If you need a copy just ask, not a problem. That Midori ( I think it was) 1/40th Hornet kit could be worth enough to buy an AA Pig. You never know what you find on E-Bay.:cool2: regards
  4. Morris C8, thank you and as ever good stuff like that appears as you finish!. As Clive is here abouts I would like to thank him for his references here and on the WarWheels site. I used them heavily and was remiss in not thanking him in my original post. regards
  5. Gentlemen, Thank you both, in truth I was a tad nervous of posting here with the level of expertise that abounds hereabouts. regards
