Agreed head corn is good although how it will top last year I dont know, size of the site I feel is now limiting the show maybe this year at new show and give it a try.

Apart from ferrets these and dodge power wagons have got to be some of my fave military vehicles they look just so damn cool!

Using a fixed turret ferret as a example the police as if you ever see any traffic cops, would have no idea if the commander is standing on the floor of the vehicle or sitting on elevated commanders seat ,however if you have more than a third of your torso outside the hull/turret you deserve a bolloking from whoever feels like doing so! Still get at certain shows people sitting on top of vehicles whilst going round the areana really needs Marshalls to to tell em ,the error of there ways.

It states on the website that it is fine to just turn up and they will accomidate you,

Just had email from them it's a great show have been going there since inception , 200 approx mil vehicles chinook turning up and Westland wasp doing a display large areana head corn take note! Trade stands etc there's always a t34 and t54 going around worth going basically got a nice feel to the show and room to expand !

On rytons arms website says web shop shut until Eu deac specs have been announced now they have wonder when ryton will be up and running again no mention of any thing on danb militaria website , the proof houses will be very busy.

Seem to remember a conversation a while back about transits and the like attending shows, some people get very heated about there right to bring a builders van to military shows! Much like the large Rv various hangers on and one para bike!

they all get bent eventually! mine certainly was and others that have been in restoration best thing do is fit crossmember then fit engine deck lid if deck sits square on engine bay compartment and not excessively pinched at attachment points of cross member its ok and check that engine deck is not resting on cross brace , if there is a problem either obtain a less bent one!, or heat and straighten carefully!. fitting the cross brace itself can be tricky if and most likely holes do not line up one option is to jack underneath engine bay might flex hull a bit, or my hole were still out after doing this so i fitted one end bolt then put a taper on other end bolt knocked it thru then used thread file to restore threads to get nut started hope this helps.

No not currently classed as locomotive ,vosa class them as motor tractors .which is vehicle not constructed to carry a load apart from water fuel accumulators and other equp used for purpose of propulsion and which unladen weight does not exceed 7370 kg.

had a email today after contacting the consultation with my concerns about fsc being caught up in this and they confirmed no current plans to change exemption on ferrets ( this obviously refers to post 1960 fsc)

personally ,i feel display should end on agreed date ,extending it is purely a monetary decision as visiter numbers are large.

there was a episode of mud men where presenters were shooting rifles and ww1 machines guns in the uk dont know if military range or bisley? were they guests?

get on a flight to texas can personally recomend lone star gun range close to austin tx hand guns were 5 dollars to rent plus 9mm ammo was approx 40 cents each ,safety brief, drivers licence as id then shoot want u want without super vision which was a very positive thing over two days shot ppk 380 1911 45, 44 mag ,desert eagle 50 cal, 460 s&W,9mm glock 17,sks rifle couple of bolt action rifles etc over in the uk u need to be vetted to shoot ruddy 22 rimfire, and it aint worth the hassle!( closer to vegas barrat 50 cal sniper rifle was fun to fire if you have you will know what i mean!)

had a great day at the edenbridge show very cool selection of cars of all sorts / plus vintage bikes and a ex phil read yam gp bike ! and very pleasant to meet up with young mr Laker with a very smart ex Malaysian conflict dingo , nice event entrance fee 2.50 !!!

theres a scheme in the usa post 9/11 that gives government money to amongst others police departments,think this was originally be spent on emergency communications and the like,but they soon found small and large police departments could get ex military humvees assault weapons , barrat 50 cal sniper rifles etc which is why one horse town police departments seem to have a awful lot of full on military hardware.

cant quite get over the fact that u stripped starting handle drive !!!! ok plugs out light oil down bores walk away for a week try again with new starting handle oh and lay off the cow pie!
