  1. Many thanks looking forward to it, I'm going to try and make my model into the gritter seen on the net.
  2. Dear Sir. Enjoying reading about your Militant renovation, I am making a KFS 1/24TH scale Milly, the instructions for the rear brake adjusters are rather vague, I was hoping that you might have had a photo/s of the rear of the rear hubs to show where the brake adjusters are positioned a the instructions don't show them in place, is it possible you might have a photo of the adjusters from behind to show me where they are positioned. Regards Dizzy-T
  3. Dear Les.

Just wondered if you could help a friend out regarding the Taskers Queen Mary trailer, basically he would like to know what the mechanism is for that is at the front of the trailer before the swan neck, it looks like a pump of some sort but no one seems to know what its for, its the one which is actually in the framework of the trailer.

    Regards

    Dick Smith (dizzy-t)

  4. I have heard that as well, they bought one direct from America, it never went into the Military service, they had 30 Diamond T's altogether, & Pickfords had 12
  5. I was told of this DT some time ago, and I think there were only two Diamond T's in New Zealand, the person to contact with the plate info is Adrian mason who has an immaculate 980. I did have a copy of the Register not sure if I still have it or not. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Dizzy-t
  6. Dear Sirs. I am about to build the sister kit to the one you were sent, I am making the Wireless / Radio truck, as you have found out there about 19 parts to the engine, which will I think (unless you know better than me) is a shame as an item in such detail is hidden under the grill and engine cover inside the cab, I am wondering how to display the engine in detail, any ideas I was thinking of having the grill off but this would just show the radiator, do any of you guys have any suggestions please, I need the info very soon as I am displaying this model at Gaydon model Truck show in June 2017 & have only 2 months to build the model. Looking forward to hearing from someone. Thanks in advance
  7. Does any one have a good photo of a Scammell Pioneer doing a suspended tow of an Army lorry, a side on view would be great to help with my next poject. Dizzy-t

  10. I have emailed Bob Tuck and he has given me permission to use the photos in Trucks book of his, but unfortunatley its not the best of photos, I need photos of all around the vehicle and in colour. But thanks anyway. Regards Dick Smith
  11. To all you Antar owners. I am making a 1/35th scale model of the Mighty Antar Mk3, which was owned by a Lancashire Heavy haulage firm, does anyone have any photos of this beast please, colour if possible which they would allow me to print off & use on modeling shows. I also require a detailed photo or drawing of the front back plate which has the tie rod attached, the instructions are not that clear so cant make out exactly where it fixes on. Thanks in advance Dick Smith
  12. Looks like Tony Graves's Diamond T, was for sale for $50,000 (£25,000) looks like it has gone to a good home.
  13. Thanks, will put them out at all my shows until July, have agood show.
  14. Nelz. Hi can I print this off and advertise your show at the model shows I am part taking in please.? Dick.
  15. Somewhere on Youtube there is a film of two Pickford's Diamond T's going at some speed over (I think) Vauxhall Bridge in London, with a trailer, I have looked for this film on there but can not find it any more, if any one has seen it can they tell me what the film is called, Thanks you in advance. Dizzy-t
  16. This is my 1/35th scale resin model of Graham Booth's EGG 160, I have just won first prize at Gaydon Model Truck Festival, for the Small & Mid Scale Heavy Haulage Outfit, not shown here, but there is a Rogers trailer being towed with a Churchill Tank aboard
  17. Dear Adrian. Would you provide space (tent) for models of Diamond T's, just as an add on, you have seen my collection, and as said I will be adding another set to the ones already made, could also bring my collection of Corgi T's not very big now, but have managed to get the House Move which I think was a bit scarse in the UK. I do know of other model makers who have made the T, if you can let me know on this I can contact them at Gaydon (june 13/14th) this yera, where my models will be on display, I expect also Graham Upchurch would display his collection, I can contact him as well. Looking forward to seeing this page progress, Regards from Dick
  18. I have made 7 x 1.35th scale model Diamond T's so far and have another project on my hands, but I need good photos (side view & rear of vehicle) of Annis's of Hayes Middlesex original cabbed Diamond T, this is for my transfers, I will be displaying all 8 Diamond T's at the 75th Anniversary of the 980/981 Diamond T next year, three of these models will have Roger's trailers carrying loads. Thanks in advance. Dizzy-t
  19. Not worth saving then?, would love a Diamond T sign off it if there is one to spare please,
  20. Sorry no, but you could try googling in Rush Green Motors and see what comes up, a freind of mine was after the old girl and had cleared a lot of the folliage away. as he was planning to buy it, but the price keeps going up, cant understand the owner, he wants to sell all the vehicle's most it rare, but then defies people to buy them, . Regards from Dick PS. If your on Facebook then you can join my WW11.Diamond T all models group and I will get the guy who took the photos to re do them.
  21. Dear John. One Murphy Diamond T is in Rush Green Motors, every time any one shows interst in this vehicle the price goes up.
  22. Sorry nothing to do with this RL, but reqire photos of RL's think they might have been used out in Norway or some place similar need photos of these RLs in snowy conditions with the camaflaged, this is for a modeling project. Any one interested in RLs may not know that KFS (google it in) are producing a Bedford RL in 1/24th scale resin kit about June time.
  23. Thanks Tony, but could not find them on there, was going to send you a photo that I have that Watts sent to me, but could not find your emial address. I wish I had kept intouch with the chap who worked for the FTA and used to do all our trucks, he used to drive the Gloucester Diamond T so would have been able to possibly have photos of his own, but have not seen him for 15 years or more
