Panorama photo and a some rather suspicious looking people... Old school airconditioning being installed. I told the paparazzi to leave famous people like me alone. I heard Jack was spotted smiling... Bossing people around.

Denmark looks great. Buit september is busy in the Netherlands because of Market Garden. The same date (or a bit later) would be ideal becasue of the holidays. And I agree most shows are WW2 so a show for all military vehicles would be the best.

Would be great to have a similar show in the UK. Or in Europe, say Belgium or south-west of the Netherlands so you can come over to our side of the channel.

It was a great weekend. Thanks to all organisors and participants. After the demise of the old HMVF Clubhouse it was great to have a temporary Clubhouse on site called "Rosie's Place". The atmosphere was great, partly because of the consumption of liberal amounts of Tea earlier and during that evening.

On Thursday my friend and I will travel to A&E returning on the Monday.. We're Dutch and arrive and leave via Dover. My civvie car is 21 years old so if there are troubles could I ask any of you for help? I do have roadside assistance buy another option would be nice just in case. Thanks for condidering it.

Kangaroos were used for the battle of Den Bosh. A veteran I knew from the 53rd div (East Lancs) was transpoted in one of those. He pointed himself out in a photo.

Lets take a minute of silence for the passing of what used to be a great show.

Its a shame they don't communicate as they should. A forum may be a bit old school for them but they should release a statement, could be on here or social media. When people are getting upset and state that publicly a reply or statement may soften the opinion. Just explain why there is a price rise or other decisions being made. A bit of explanation or maybe even some humility can win over many heart...

Our 1st time was in 2000 and attended every year since. The last year or so there was enough space when we arrived showing less attendance. But the incerase of the show price itself, more expensive fuel, probably more expensive Ferry and Brexit means we won't go. Brexit itself makes it more difficult, can't bring food but even buying things in the UK may become a problem or hassle with customs. Guess to be safe we'd have to photograph all items we'd take from the Netherlands in case on return we might get charged for importing or exporting? Not sure if that's the case though but still something to research. Come to think about it....best do that anyway when we go to A&E...🤔

I had the same problems about 15 years ago. It was also the master cilinder piston blocking the return port. About your jerrycan....be sure there isn't rust or debris in there or you may clog your carb.

Statistics and predictions are nice, but not always relevant in real life. As you say, you and so many other Nam vets are still around and will be for decades to come.

A few days ago we learned Jeff had passed away, aged 102. He was the last WW2 veteran I knew well, meeting him in the Netherlands and at W&P several times. He was in the BEF and fought throughout North Africa and Western Europe and was awarded the Military Medal. A book has been written with his story; Fighting Hitler from Dunkirk to D-Day: The Story of Die Hard Jeff Haward by Neil Barber and Jeff I'll attach a photo of Jeff sitting in the back of the Dodge with me behind the wheel in 2014.
