  1. Concerting a Hotchkiss to a WW2 vehicle is up to the person. But its a bit of fooling yourself since it wasn't a WW2 vehicle. If a WW2 jeep was totally unobtainable I can understand the compromise. BTW is there much difference in price; WW2 jeep versus Hotchkiss in the UK?
  2. Congratulations to both of you!!!! Enjoy your honeymoon mate.
  3. Sounds like someones girlfiend
  4. Looks like a flimsy frame for a seat?
  5. My wishlist; Dodge Command Car Kettenkrad US Halftrack Weasel US tank (Stuart or Sherman). Brencarrier WW1 libertytruck or 1918 Dodge Pickup Mostly WW2 as you can see. If I think longer the list will expand.

    BORAT

President of the World offcourse. I will be Vice President and we will RULE THE WORLD, whouha ha haa (manical laughter)
  7. About WW2 vehicles actually USED on the battlefields, you're right. My WC 21 came to Europe in 1947 or 1949. It was delivered May 1942 so most probably stayed in the US and never used in the Pacific or Europe or Africa during the war. Unfortunately all markings were removed so I can't trace its history before shipment to Europe (Switserland) in the late 40's.

    BORAT

What can I say.? BORAT for President!
  9. For most Dutchman ww2 vehicles are more popular because they were used to liberate us in a war we didn't choose to be in. Since WW2 we had a war in Indonesia and participated in Korea. Many vehicles were still WW2 vintage so the post war ones haven't got much war history to them.
  10. Yep, that sums it up pretty good...
  11. That could be serious, hope you didn't do too much damage to the bonnet
  12. The plierthings might do the job. Do be careful though, if you slip you may hurt yourself. Before you apply force on pliers, spanners or whatever look where you're going to end up when you slip and put something soft to avoid a lot of pain and :argh:
  13. Are you sure its a Land Rover? I thought it was a Champ
  14. When you hear; "what is your answer" don't forget to say "I do"...and resist the urge to run an scream :shocking:

Here a few of the soldiers who fought in Den Bosch. We know them personally because we attend the commemorations with them. We even accompany them to the Cemetary to pay respect to the fallen. Mr. Davies Welch Regiment. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/EmrysDaviesMedium.jpg[/img] Mr. Atkinson I call him and his wife granddad and grandma. In the book about the Battle of Den Bosch we found a photo (oct 1944) where we recognised Mr. Atkinson, he hasn't changed much!
