  1. Looks a bit rough but a lot is still there. Nice addition for most WW2 museums

  3. Only just saw this post. Love the built and diorama.
  4. Nice, I especially like them because at last A&E my buiddy and I were on/in both vehicles (1/2 track was a M16).
  5. Couldn't the UK government buy them and organise the sale to Ukraine?

  10. Hmmm, thats a strange one. Looks a bit like a Belgian M1882 but also a bit like a model 1908 German export/Brazilian mauser bayonet. But no exact match found. I'd expect it to be pre-WW1.
  11. Really badly executed "recreation"...I would have made a better job making one of those.
  12. Also called a Zuckerman helmet.
  13. Sobering to see a photo of the man instead of just a headstone.

  17. This morning I attended the unveiling of a information panel near the crashsite of the Lancaster. In attendance was a family member of Loughborough, and representatives from Canada and Australia. Also Gijs who was involved from the beginning and those who are busy to get more of these panels for other crews in the area. More people attended ofcourse but my memory isn't very good so sorry I can't mention everyone. A coincidence was that 2 young people passing by on bicycles stopped and turned out to be Australian tourists who stayed for the unveiling. The weather was lovely with sunshine and it was nice and warm. Afterwards we went to the nearby visitors centre "De Grote Rivieren" for drinks. All in all a good morning and goes to show people remember those who fought (and often died) for our freedom. LEST WE FORGET!
  18. Amazing documents and photo's. Thanks for sharing!
  19. Just buy a Dutch M90 army sleeping bag. I use it quite often in cold weather.
  20. Cool collection of photo's. Any idea what happened to the upside down vehicle?
