The date's for next year's Ponderosa event are the 8th 9th & 10th of July 2011.ken has kindly offered to bring his sherman tank for it's first public apperance,also hopefully making it's first public apperance will be a very rare WW2 British tank.If we manage to get as many WW2 British vehicles next year as this year the show will be a belter.Watch this space.

Hi Big Al,i appreciate what your saying but surely the T14 Assault tank & T18 Boarhound, which i believe are fully restored & are also the only one's left in the world should be on display.Also not all the vehicles in storage are unrestored.Lastly it woundn't take a lot of time and effort to sort out the rare AEC armoured command post vehicle, which again i believe the only complete one left.That's if their still at Bovvy!! HOPE So hear's hoping one day.

All that said they can raise money for the Tiger tank,also someone's restored the German Kettenkrad, the sdkfz foundation has restored the Stug 3 and Bob Grundy with the tracked armoured group has restored more than one vehicle for the Tank museum in the past like wise the army apprentice school.Like Adrian said it wouldn't take alot of work to sort out some exhibits like the rare AEC Armoured command post witch i believe came out of pounds ship yard years ago.Oh well the least they could do is put a cover over the outside exhibits in the fenced area.

Hi can anyone help on a rescent visit to the Bovington tank museum,on speaking to one of the members of staff there. He stated they had well over 150 vehicles in their reserve collection,just wondered if anyone had any pics of the reserve collection or a link .Iv'e tried the internet with no luck,i did notice the Boarhound Armoured car wasn't on display anymore!! still wot a superb collection many thanks.

Superb event well organised a must for every mv owner next year,i hope more British wartime vehicles attend next year i know i'll be there. I heart goes out to the guy who was injured i do hope he's ok.

AS one of the organiser's of the Ponderosa show, i'd like to thank all the staff for making us all feel welcome.Blessed with good weather & free pack lunches on both the saturday & sunday plus a large 40s dance inc food what more could you ask for.I'd also like to thank all the vehicle owner's & living history groups, who turned up to support the show cheer's guy's & girls.Most of all the real heroes of the show were the three WW2 veterans. As i believe stated recently by John Blackman "where have all the British WW2 vehicle's gone" well Ponderosa fielded 29 British vehicles plus 6 artillery piece's. I personly gained a good number of new friends who have already pledged their support for next year's show so ROLL ON 2011. cheer's Stu
