  3. Hi, next year the Yorkshire Wartime Experience Show 6-8th July 2018 http://www.ywe-event.info will be holding a special armoured/tracked vehicle gathering. We're hoping to gather together the largest amount of armoured/tracked vehicles, of any age and nationality outside a museum in England. If you own an armoured vehicle, wheeled or tracked we'd like to here from you. Cheers Stuart

  4. Interesting topic ! I own a few military vehicles inc armour, my two lads aged 16 & 18 have no interest what so ever in military. Which of coarse is a great shame for me. I was recently offered a 1941 Willys MB Jeep in mint fully restored on the road condition, which my mate bought, only last week. So it just goes to show, not everything is mega money. In saying all that, I would say the average age of a military vehicle owner is 50-60 years old. So we desperately need new blood, how we achieve this I don't know. As most young people coming into the hobby, join re-enactment groups buy kit as it's a he'll of alot cheaper.

  5. The Marder is a repro, using some original parts inc the front armour & pal 40 gun. The vehicle started life as a Swedish M43 assault gun, which is based on a 38T chassis. John has used a truck engine & gearbox to drive the tank. A superb realistic restoration. There's also another repro Marder tank in Hull, again using alot of original parts.

  6. As far as I'm aware nothing has been done on S130 for a long time. I can confirm that nothing has been done on the panther tank, as I visited the collection late last year. They were restoring a sherman Tank. The panther sat under a sheet, such a shame.
