Will make a picture tomorrow.. It's currently not attached to the louvers anymore since they were not moving.. Got the rear ones and one of the 3 main ones moving.. just 2 left!..

I had the IR glass on there as well, but on that picture I only have the normal glasses, with the IR glass removed. I want to use the IR headlights as my high beam option with normal glass instead of the IR ones

For driving around at events I can install the IR glasses back and remove the registration plate with lights.. It will also get sideindicators and cameras which can easily be removed.. The idea is to have the most practical and safe vehicle as I can on the road to events and restore it back to original once I get there..

Recently got a SPW-40P2 from a Dutch museum.. It was built in the Soviet Union in ~1986 as a BRDM-2 and then sent to East Germany.. It hadn't run in about 13 years

Yeah the show definitely needs to come up with a solution for that.. Either close the show earlier and make the sunday show cheaper or something..

I was there for work, we provided the facilities for Canadian TV's remembrance at the Juno Beach Centre.. Sadly I didn't have time to look around much

I would recommend getting the German (DDR) manuals as well for that reason.. They are a bit tricky to read because it's offcourse technical German as opposed to normal, but you could more easily translate that or have a native speaker translate it for you.

Crosscheck it with an English one and you should be golden :-D

A bonus is that the DDR ones are very easy to find and come with diagrams etc..

Appears to be some sort of H in front of the T by quite a margin but looks a bit out of place so might not be anything..

I hope you won't mind me asking, but do you know how much a BRDM-2 weighs empty and how much loaded (fuel etc)? Seeing as you had yours shipped I'm sure they've weighed it or so

I will be attending next year, same with the group I'm in, just as we have last year and a couple of years before that.. We will come if it rains, if it snows (that'd be a first I suppose) if it's dry and hot.. We see it as a week with friends from across the globe, running around in gear that we collect, seeing cool vehicles you only see in museums and buying stuff from the trading area..

The new site means less mileage for us, but even if it had moved in the other direction and added miles we would come, it's just a lot of fun :-D

I do hope we get some Arena information in the following months so we can start planning our arena battle and hope it gets approved!

Looked on wiki, seems it has the UK59 and a KPV..

UK59 is a slightly odd 7.62x54R machinegun the czechs used...

12.7mm.. Oldschool.. since replaced by the NSV.. which in Russian service is getting replaced by the Kord... KPV is the 14.5mm

I'm sure Neil will be over soon but he said it was running a lot better now.. And the times he went out with it after that the marshalls in the arena had to keep telling him to slow down :-D

The arena at W&P needs to be a bit bigger.. maybe a mud oval? :-D
