The Cummins engine is a field conversion not std.  does it have the 6 or 4 cylinder engine. Do you know if it has a turbo or not.  What gearbox does it have.

i have been donated ex army rapier launcher and missiles and am hoping these will be part of the BAOR display…which will be in the camp bastion tent with the Afghanistan war when Russia tried to beat the TALIBAN.  

Ok after years of fighting the planning departments I have decided to open the museum on my business park. 
 

so we are opening on the 4th May.  The amount of work and space needed is vast.  We will do our best to display everything we have but it will take time.  We have about 6000 sq feet of units and two camp bastion tents and a few covered areas.  We will have a coffee shop serving basic food and tea and coffee plus a seating area.  We will have a rudimentary shop selling stuff including some outdoor wear.  It’s very exciting for us but it will take us at least a year to get fully operational.  And anyone who knows me it will never stay the same from week to week so will always be changing.  It will never be right.  Any advise given is always welcome.  Shut down however will not be listened too. And if we are voted the worst museum in the uk I will Cry.  But if we are we will endeavour to improve.
 

I will also be restarting the lectures again and am looking for interesting speakers.  The first talk will be a short review of the Cuban crises. Date to be confirmed we also have details on the Gary powers incident and possibly a talk about f4 phantom and  interception of a tu 95 bear stories etc.

We are looking for volunteers of all kinds if anyone lives near Guildford get in touch.  All helpers welcome. No matter your skills. Shop assistants coffee shop cakes door duties vehicle cleaning repairs the list goes on forever. If you can give us any time it is brilliant.

As always my dates are screwed but was thinking of coming down on the bank holiday monday.  Just for the day. Likely bring the kraz. Could I get in…can’t do the whole weekend.

ooh I think I have now managed to find someone...but will try both these other ideas as eveytime I think i am close bang dead end...getting the rubbers to make it fit also seems to be a problem but I am going through Plant cab suppliers at the moment as the best hope...

I have foden GS with a broken windscreen.  I can find no one who is able to cut a new piece of flat glass..i have been trying for months...everyone says they cant cut a piece that big and its only  half a windscreen

Sorry I am only up the road but sadly very busy with the convoy on the 24th and unlikely to be able to help.  I have an FH77 which is the 155mm Bofors gun...is there any possibility of dropping it off the day before and collecting it the day after then it might work..but cannot guarantee...

Anyone got any ferret hub components.  After a set of internals.  One sungear would work for now but if I can get the full hub it would be marvellous

Hi guys anyone breaking or got one of the drive shafts the short one the hardy spicer short stub end that goes into the transfer box...

I had sold it but then my son found it had a shaft missing...I couldn't see it in the dark...

wally do you have a copy of the berliet one. I have two of them  and cannot find anything about them in English...

Hi Guys, anyone know where I can find a manual for the salamander...its not too difficult without but it has some oddities...on the end of the hydraulic pump we think was air pump but cannot find any detail about it...or if we can get a replacement or have to fit a new type for replacement...can see the shaft fitting but no idea what type of pump it was or even if it was an air pump.  seems it would only be used for auxiliary purposes as brakes are vacuum assist, steering hydraulic, everything else hydraulic so it can only be used for the fire fighting equipment or blowing up tyres but cannot find any logical fittings. hence need the manual

the Volvo, does anyone know who does spares for them...need brake wheel cylinders seat tops and a few other bits

and for the FV433, we can get the gun to go up but bringing it down is really hard...the equilibrilator or whatever it is called seems to work one way or the tother but we can get it to go up...any ideas. the manual doesnt help...

Anyone know where i might find these manuals in english, got a few issues with her, air not building, bilge pumps not working and have a really odd water leak around the air pump which is making me think it is connected to my problem...to get the pump out is not going to be an easy path but if it has to come out it has to..

just want to make sure I am not missing something silly before I start stripping it down.,..
