  1. I was told that my truck was on HMVF, it may never be finished but it is getting there, side table is now on. Hope to get the aerials on this year but I have a C8 Quad and an Austin ATV to finish so finding time is hard. I was thinking of giving it a camouflage pattern when it is finished it was never brown but a dark green and about as mat as it is now. Paint is the hardest part. Bob
  2. Now I think I can post. I would like to ask a question of anyone with a No 5 body quad. My quad was made in the second quarter of 1944 and was then sent to Italy. It was painted in No2 brown from new inside and out. So I looked at photos of a second quad on the net and it also has brown paint. Has anyone else found this? Its camouflage paint so even though it obvious when you see it, I looked at it for a year and almost missed it it’s everywhere. Bob
  3. Not very good at this posting bit. Any way just thought I would comment on the fantastic restoration. Also in the process of restoring a No 5 bodied quad. The problem with seals I think I have a solution I have used 16mm O ring. cheap and easy to replace the size may need to come down to 15mm but it works well and keeps the oil in but think I will add a leather gaiter ring just to keep any muck off the O ring.
  4. This is the inside of a CS8 WT. The desk is the same as that fitted to the C4 The radio equipment is just one of many types fitted in CS8's and C4's. but may give you some ideas. Bob
  5. Hi. Have looked in S.E.E pamphlet No. 288c and it gives the number of 6 ft sections stored on the outside of the truck as 13. Regards Bob
  6. Hi Scott my name is Bob. I was at the sale and came home with the Austin K2 and a Dennis No 2 pump. All now running and very low cost by MV standards. Now just looking forward to the good weather. Bob
  7. Well I would like to try for the early type as your picture I think is of a late MK2 This is the early type MK2 aerial also used on the MK1 and prototype. Most of the aerial has been removed from this one but it has no board like on your photo. If haven’t sent the picture follow this link. http://www.fareham-darc.co.uk/G8KZO/g8kzo.htm
