  1. Those are 353 radio mounts, but your friend is missing the plate which they bolt to.
  2. Complete Equipment Schedule https://www.greenmachinesurplus.com/cvrtspartancesservice-editionsimple-equipment-335-p.asp
  3. Not sure what you mean? The CES list will tell you what tools and equipment was issued with each vehicle.
  4. They were for wading screens and mostly cut off when vehicles were base overhauled in the 90s. They are nothing to do with deflecting fragmentation, they are quite flimsy and easily damaged.
  5. There are thousands of pages of manuals for CVR(T)s. Here is a good place to start: https://www.greenmachinesurplus.com/cvrt-cvrw-63-c.asp
  6. I think that rather than asking for our opinions you need to be talking the company you paid to do the work. You are the customer and they should be ensuring customer satisfaction. If you can’t get any resolution then you might need to take it further. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/complain-about-a-service/

  8. Later British army Scimitars used the Sabre type gun crutch.
  9. I doubt that the cargo box took any fire other than from someone with a drill. The rear mudguards are often smashed as they are quite fragile. The row of countersunk bolts on the gearbox mount is a standard repair.
  10. I have a commanders seat, send me a private message.
  11. I have some good ones too
  12. Having looked through the 07FDxx Scimitars on the Merlin Archive I think yours is 07FD59 since it’s the only one I’ve seen around the area I think yours would be in which has not been converted to diesel. https://www.merlinarchive.uk/vehicle/07FD59 Chris
  13. That was the petrol one with the chain gun? Have you asked Withams for some release paperwork? Try checking under the paint where the numbers should be on the front & back, they may have just painted over them.
  14. I’m surprised the turret has a data plate with the hull number on it, it would have been possible for turrets to be swapped at base overhaul. There is no database or any way of linking the hull number back to a military registration number as far as I know. The data plate you want is in the hull behind near the NBC pack and next to the fuel filter. What is the history of the vehicle? Where did you get it from? Chris
  15. Mine is SCI141 and is 07FD04. Yours could be something like 07FD53? Is the data plate missing? It should be near the fuel filter.
  16. The Rarden ejects the spent casings outside the turret.
  17. a copy of the Merlin Archive on this vehicle posted by sirhc confirms it was rebuilt. On 15/08/2013 it was at Witham (Specialist Vehicles) Ltd. However, the next entry reads "Date Not Recorded - RHG/D LAD". So at some point it was cast, but within the last nine years it has been taken back on strength, and has actually gone back to the Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons). Is it still serving with them? that’s not what it means at all, it just means no date was recorded for that entry. It will be in private hands or scrapped.
  18. The MAN HX is on civilian plates.
