  1. Here we go.........http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-Wing-Buffers-304110-/360351487734 :-D Bought!
  2. Cheers Ruxy Checked out Craddocks but unfortunately they don't have a pic. Would be nice to know what they look like :-D
  3. Still plodding along with my Rover 9 GS/FFR rebuild and starting giving the wing the once over this weekend. On removing the secondary indicators fitted by a PO I found that the hole that they were sitting in looked original from time of manufacture (I always thought he had cut the hole) and lies through the steel reinforced sections of the wing. Wondering what would have originally fitted in this hole? The suggestion I have had is a rubber conical stop for the door. Location looks right but I have never seen this before on any LR. Anyone else Paul
  4. Cheers all. Now where did I put that can of gloss?
  5. Just wondered whether our Rover 9 GS '66 109 should be subjected to getting it's rear diff pan painted white? From what year would this have been std practice roughly?
  6. Superb site Dave. I have dropped them a mail :-D:iloveyou:
  7. Tony, Could you please PM me some contact details for him and I will see what he can do? Cheers, Paul
  8. When I lived in Hampshire the P HQ granted me an explosives 'purchase and hold' permit which I requested was for black powder only. Cert duly arrices with about 15-20 UN ref codes listed on it. Never queried it at the time. Roll on 5 years and I relocated to sunny Wilts and re-applied. They came back with the question, 'Do you really require all of these if you are only needing BP?'. Cert was delivered with 3-4 UN numbers on it. I haven't the foggiest what the others were :-\
  9. Looking to source two of the SEC/SED 'Tiger' decals as per my avtar. Anyone have a recommended source? Cheers, Paul
  10. If someone has a couple of those I am sure we could come to some suitable and agreeable 'exchange' arrangement :-D Paul
  11. That is superb Richard and I really appreciate that Yes my logo is a waterslide type and hopefully I can get replacements from somewhere when the time comes. Shame not to really? Colour on my logo is orange around the head then a yellow band around the circle edge. 7.62 back then I would guess. I use a Fulton's Improved' No.4 from time to time and it has far more ability than I can match :cool2:
  12. Cheers for the info all. Good to know I have now two directions or names to search under but I expect South Eastern District will turn up a load of unrelated detritus? Richard, I don't suppose you have any better images of the SEC 'lion' insignia? Cheers, Paul
  13. I was just following Clives's comments from a few months back. http://forum.emlra.org/viewtopic.php?t=4760&highlight= Have any info on SED then?
  14. Apparently my 109 originates in some way from this organisation but I can find very little info. All I have found so far from a retired military aquaintance is it formed part of the national defence force formed after WW2. SEC was based (not surprisingly) in the South East of the UK - so not that far from where I am now. See my avtar for the SEC command logo taken from the 109 found under 4 layers of green :-\ Anyone have any links or info? Paul
  15. Cheers Ferret. Do you have any contact details for C&S Tat? I only need the brackets to mount on the tub for now. Sorry I could not make the W&P
