  1. Yes, Ron I told him! and only knew that it existed, because you posted a picture back then! Lex
  2. Been sold again I heard! Paul, did you see this thread on my ex BEF WD-C?, will try to update it a bit tomorrow. Lex
  3. A picture will help. Cheers, Lex
  4. No, can't remember a screw there, when Rich and I are home again, I'm sure we can answer you. Lex
  5. Yes, Keith, I have an original too, and there was another one on Ebay some weeks ago, so it was a popular picture! Cheers, Lex
  6. I made some longer adapters, like on the India office picture. The Big 4 seems to have had a Talflow elbow, but not 90 degrees (more like 110?), have to adapt one for mine, and cut the tank off, and reposition the filler cap, luckily I found another tank last month. Lex
  7. Yes, postwar Indian or Pakistani army inspection stamps. Have to look at mine, but I don't think they have them. Cheers, Lex
  8. Does it have 3 keyways?? I wouldn't trust an Indian made one in such an important part of the engine, these parts can still be found original, or even NOS, can't remember a dished side on it, had one in my hand last thursday! Cheers, Lex
  9. OK, well, you have to keep in mind, that probably 90-95% of the time this bearing is not in use, well only as a spacer, the 2 parts only turn at different speeds when the clutch is disengaged. So it will last, as long as you keep some grease on it. Lex
  10. Ok, I vaguely remember something about the crowded rollers effect, but that may be more for bigends? Nice work, and am sure it will last! Lex
  11. Pawel, I see you made the roller thickness bigger, so you could use the existing (damaged) parts, is there still enough hardness left in the material? I seem to remember with the 6,35 rollers, there was a bit bigger gap between the rollers, but it's probably OK. Good work! Lex
  12. John, the story is a bit more complicated, but you got the gist! first there was the RT100 DKW, then the Royal Baby, and then the Flying Flea, as it happens I have all 3 of them, but the Royal Baby still unrestored, of that one there are only maybe 5 survivors. Cheers, Lex
  13. Incredible work Jan! I tried to start somewhere, but was so disheartened, that I gave up! too much! Cheers, Lex
  14. Jan,, I have some of these saddles, thought they were postwar! will take picures soon. Lex
  15. Don't know anything in the UK atm. there was a cheap M20 project at the Founders day VMCC jumble last weekend, it hadn't sold, so will be at the next jumble somewhere. Cheers, Lex
  16. There is soooo much plain wrongly restored/captioned/pure fake stuff in that museum, seems the owner doesn't care at all. But still nice to visit once in a while. Lex
  17. Now there is a motorcycle, a 1940 G3WO, looking at the front end, guess there's nothing more visible on the original? Is that picture Dunkirk too? Cheers, Lex
  18. Jan, very good stuff here, are you going to post the Flea/James saddle stuff here also?? Cheers, Lex
  19. I might have one too, also complete filters and hoses, Vokes too, and the adjustable connectors, but not that many left. Cheers, Lex
  20. Yes, wasn't I lucky to find them at my favourite scrapyard! (it's actually quite expensive there!) but they still have things that are not easily recognised, I knew about that set of casings for years, but never knew what they were off of, untill I started to get an interest in Enfields. Maybe the sidestand is there as well, will search next time I go there, was it used on other models too?? Cheers, Lex PS, I have a bakelite/hard rubber script Enfield pump, but will use it on my Royal Baby.
  21. Ok, sorry, I cannot remember, hope you get it right! sterkte! Lex
  22. Ok, I cannot remember, its been years since I renewed the clutch plates. But here are the pages from the big DKW wartime manual, maybe it helps? Cheers, Lex
  23. Nice stuff!! but 5 pictures up, you mention a bike, but have been looking for 5 minutes, but cannot make anything like a bike out of the mess?? Cheers, Lex
  24. Yes, that's where I got mine from, Welbikes used them too. Lex
  25. Kinda pricey for postwar ones! Lex
