  1. To follow on from Alien FTM's reply, we served in the same regiment, I wore my belstaff high leg bike boots on exercise, and I remember there was a liking for the german para boots of the time.
  2. You only need the mounting ring for the S6, the S10 has a mount built into the face piece, I'm not aware of how and if they fit to the newer GSR.
  3. At the last estimate new CVRT track from William Cooks is £45-60,000
  4. very true mate, there is a gauge that is part of the CES, but the way above stated by Neil is correct.

  7. Good evening, does anyone have a source for the rubber press in studs that retain the liners in a MK 6 helmet, I want to take mine out as it got damp and mouldy over the winter then clean/renew parts, then refit, they studs need to be removed by cutting them, then new ones fitted.
  8. just as an update, Eden Camp in North Yorkshire, has three of the CVRTs from Op Corporate, 1 a Scorpion and 2 x Scimitar, they have either undergone or undergoing full running restoration.

  11. Good morning, Recently been contacted by a chap in Australia who is currently getting a fox back on the road and ids requiring some replacement parts for the hubs of his ox, as they are currently seized, below is the main concern Given the scarcity of fox parts, I’m looking to locally remanufacture a sun gear and the planet gears however I’m having a little bit of trouble removing the carrier from the hub cap. It may be quite straight forward, but I don’t want to break something by being a bloody gorilla. Thanks in advance. Tom.
  12. definately not CVRT crew helmets, I have the 3 different types worn, and none are similar to these.
  13. The running of the vehicle seems normal compared to service Foxes, there are a couple of differences, the mountings are of the ferret type and not the fox type and the gbox and transfer boxes have their own dipsicks and fillers, which on service fox were combined. There is quite a few ferret parts on this Fox, esp in the area of suspension, most of it is taken directly from the MK5. there is no power steering and the components are again Ferret inc the steering wheel.
  14. I'm very interested in this thread re modified carbs, I help to care for prototype Fox KFX 262F/00SP87, which to my knowledge has a modified civilian XK engine and I know has a Ferret gbox, very interested in being able to see if the carb has the mods fitted.
  15. After one of these mounts for the M50 at Eden Camp, for the commanders cupola.
  16. i made a rather tatty wooden one, got no pics as its not currently in my possession, but this one looks great.
  17. It appears that sometime in the last twelve days somebody broke into one of HDF(V) stores in South Yorkshire and helped themselves to a number of Scorpion/Saladin items. These include barrel gauges, pullback kits and a quantity of spare weapons parts, could you please let me know if you are offered any parts etc from an unusual source.
  18. Whilst a CQMS with an ACF unit, I can rememeber see quite alot of our green PLCE being this style, wish I had managed to do some swaps, as not realised what it was at the time.
