  1. Hi Everyone, As you can probably guess from the name i'm a fencing contractor but actually based in Essex not Hull! We carry out a mostly agricultural fencing and i have been looking at new ways of moving plant (digger, tracked post driver etc) and materials to jobs but normal lorries arent any good to us due to issues with getting stuck, the legislation and additional licences i would need to take. I recently noticed on ebay that there seems to have been an infulx of ex-MOD 4x4 renault and daf truck that are a much cheaper option than the obvious unimog. I contacted the DVLA with regard to registering one of these as an agricultural vehicle and they made it all sound very easy, long and short send them pictures with registration application and details of what its being used for (they said our work was ok) and they would register it as AG - i though it all sounded a bit too easy!! has anyone else had experience with this at all?? Thanks in advance, Laurence
