  1. Hi guys, yes my mistake advance, quite right, good manual you got there, love to get one, any ideas where though, the ones I've looked at online seems a bit iffy
  2. Good point thanks, I like to set it as original then retard by turning distributor, works out the same in the end no doubt, good to banter about different ideas as sometimes the old ways are not the best these days as you suggest, regards gor J.
  3. Hi Nick, thank you for that info, thought it was a recent repro but now I think it's better than that, got it off eBay not sure if chap knew about the french connection paid 1200 for it, great straight chassis well pleased, thanks again.
  4. I see that a MALT is mentioned in this post, I have a MALT with 4 numbers welded onto the chassis, I have never seen this chassis number before, can anyone shed light on this for me please
  5. The oiler should be set at 13.00 ( 1 oclock) or there abouts, the timing mark on fly wheel should be on TC not ign, the rotor should be just shy of 18.00 (6 oclock) make sure you have the oil pump and distributor shaft slotted into each other the right way round.
