hi jerry never thourt in my life i would see this scammell again i live around the corner from where this was parked up i now own a scammell explorer and have tryed to buy two of these scammell before

I set the timing to the manual its a new magneto cap etc it only does it when ticking over

HELP! can somone advise me on setting the carberators on my meadows engine its idleing unevenly and back fireing through the carberators

just get it painted its the two colours of green on there thats whats doing your head in paint the trailer and then see what you think.

i drove a range rover with a mazda diesel in it on an auto box it was as fast as my nissan navara also im on with building a hybrid series 1 with a mazda engine in it on a manual gearbox i will post sum pictures

I would be intresteaded in the meadows engine n.o.s you can never have to many spares

thats one on my list to look at just not had the time to go and look at it yet and to think there was two pionners just round the corner from me when i was a boy, i think they were an 80toner and a tank transporter.

I have to run this ignition system now because of the lpg conversion i will post some pics of it later in the week 200 pounds worth of petrol in four week just backing in and out of the workshop i was going l10 cummins bought the engine and everything found out theres two bellhousing size types twin plate and a single plate clutch the turbos in the way of the steering the list goes on but if it isnt broke why fix it

Got an ignition problem with your magneto or your points distributor on your scammell meadows engine, well here is a good fix. After buying my scammell and driving it out of my work the first day of owning it, that night when i came to drive it in, it would not start i tried everything to get it running. In the end it had to be push into work after much thought i worked out that the magneto had packed in and no where to get one at that time so with a bit more thought finaly i worked out that good old britsh layland came to the rescue it now runs on a six cylinder 12v electronic ignition system with not much work

Hi to all out there after reading about my brother's scammell and our youtube moment's and then seeing pics posted of it at the cumbria steam gathering along with his mates (sadly mine did not atend this year and after having that many problems with the old gril) meadows engines do sound great tho.
