Oh dear, I seem to have arrived rather late :oops:
Well on the subject confectionery, how have jelly babies been used to enhance the effectiveness of a particular weapon?
-
Do you have mini humbers to drive around this? is this in Clives "off limits" room? :police:
The playroom is outside with two real ones, so don't have to pretend. Although I have to pretend the engine has been repaired in one of them :cry:

Looks suspiciously like a model railway layout, of a marshalling yard....
Yes it does, but no trains here. This was taken in the westcountry, but where & why was it made?
-
Do you feed something in through the top that is split in two?
Yes
PS. Ammendment. I should qualify that. Something is fed in through the top, but it doesn't get split in two.
-
Does it bend metal?
Nope. It doesn't show it very clearly but there is a rectangular hole (that appears dark) in the middle of the main 'table' area.
-
For training in the landscape of Market Garden (Arnhem)?
Good idea but no. Here is another view:
-
some sort of lifting device?
Nope
-
Hope Mr HardyFerret wasn't standing at the urinal and bragging about the size of this gun.
Hmmh but has it been de-activated & does he have the certificate? If its not de-activated does he have a licence for it?
-
Medieval zimmer frame....
No this is more modern, from a British military manual published in the 40s but may well have been in use a while before that.
-
A torturedevice?
Certainly would be if used incorrectly

Not to sure of the significance but I would say that is a picture of a sand table :?
What do you mean by a sand table?
-
Where was this photo taken & what was its military significance to the British?

The sign from this base is for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BATTLE-OF-BRITAIN-STATION-RAF-TANGMERE-SIGN_W0QQitemZ160065840332QQihZ006QQcategoryZ585QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
That's interesting I see that bidders are now anonymous. There have been occasions where I have recognised bidders on the basis of their ebay name & sometimes taken it in turns not to bid against each other. Although my wife has recognised "bidders" who always seem to run up a price with a certain seller, but never actually wins the auction. Or if they do it appears on ebay again if they get caught & had to "buy" the item.

K = Pay book
U = Belt
Y = Wash bag

Yes K = Pay book
Yes U = Belt
Well yes, I suppose so if you mean soiled linen etc, it is "waterproof bag" = Wash bag

You've got me stumped on the first one Jack. What do you mean by:
"the British shots" and "of World War"

This is the rest of the kit for a soldier of the Mounted Sections of the Commissariat & Transport Corps 1884.
You can just guess one object at a time if you like. There is some latitude with DEFGHI & LMNO any order will do.

Maybe I used the wrong word? Jodphurs, perhaps, looks like a belt and buckle in the picture.
Not trousers of any sort. It is a belt & buckle. The illustration shows how it should be stored in the barracks. At kit inspection the soldier should hold this equipment over his right arm.
-
the correct way of folding them for inspection?
Yes, but they are not riding breeches.
-
Clive is the mystery object to do with another sort of draught animal
Nope. Its to do with soldiers, who may also happen to ride horses.
Ok Clive one for you.
