  10. Nope. It doesn't show it very clearly but there is a rectangular hole (that appears dark) in the middle of the main 'table' area.

  13. No this is more modern, from a British military manual published in the 40s but may well have been in use a while before that.

  17. That's interesting I see that bidders are now anonymous. There have been occasions where I have recognised bidders on the basis of their ebay name & sometimes taken it in turns not to bid against each other. Although my wife has recognised "bidders" who always seem to run up a price with a certain seller, but never actually wins the auction. Or if they do it appears on ebay again if they get caught & had to "buy" the item.
