If you were a soldier on a British troop ship circa 1953, why would you wear Jackets, serge, unlined (blue)?

Me and and the finance officer, went and had a look a squirt pig, in very nice condition all complete needing good service and brakes checking/freeing.
Drove it down the road, acceleration measured by old moores almanac.
Jury still out, someone fight the cause for me pro's and con's
Worst thing weight
Best do you need to ask, gold plated fur lined hens tooth!!!!!!!!!
Oh for goodness sake man pull yourself together & get on with it!
It is probably the most complete Pig Squirt (other than the one I told you about but that needs a lot of work). All the hard work has been done it has been nicely restored.
This is obviously a good point but from an owner satisfaction point of view is, once the novelty has worn off, you have not bonded with the vehicle gone through the sweat & trauma late nights etc bringing it up to spec. Like my Wolf nicely restored but I haven't bonded with cos I didn't do the work. I am just a driver of it rather than a restorer & declined to be judged at a show where I was told I could get a prize! As I saw no point.
Anyway apart from that slightly cranky view re sweat/satisfaction ratio. If you get it it will be quite a head turner & curiosity item. You enjoy your Ferret, how many ferrets are there out there? Quite a lot. How many complete & restored Squirts are there out there. AFAIK Just this one. There are some pigs that were Squirts in varying degrees of dismantlement. But if you buy it don't chop out this & take out that it will reduce the value of what it is considerably. Given that you may not keep it for ever.
The downside is that you cannot camp & sleep in it & it is purely a display vehicle. But think of the fun & curiosity you would create in the arena on a hot summer's day squirting water out through it. (Perhaps you better not use the irritant dye)

Thinking of carb faults. I once had a float that sank! There was an ineffective bit of soldering on the float edge & fuel gradually seeped in. The engine would run ok for a while then flood. Took me ages to find that one!

Andy with your switching around of the tanks, is it possible that air is leaking in now round the tap? The other thing is, the good fuel is in both tanks in case there is some switching anomoly. I'm not sure whether you have an early model with a turn tap or pull out tap.
(I had a problem on a pig that drove me mad for ages the fuel gauge measured the fuel in the tank you were not using. The Army upgraded my prototype to the pruduction plumbing arrangement but didn't changeover the wiring!)
