  1. Thanks for the info, I have on the bolt what I think is the original spacer, I just need to get it off. The link to the part is what has been suggested as a price as well Richard
  2. Apologies I was there in the summer and for some reason never took a picture of the display board
  3. If you need pictures Bovington has one, its partly dismantled to show construction, I saw it this summer.
  4. Having just found out that my bolt to hold the pick axe has a damaged thread I need to dismantle the thing, before I attempt it can any one advise if the spacer is threaded on or push fit, if threaded suspect I may lose the spacer. Regards Mechanical idiot
  5. This company may have a replica http://www.relics.org.uk/index.php
  6. Welcome, where in Scotland, have a 110, engine went 2 weeks ago so not drivable at the moment
  7. Thanks was wondering about when it was going out
  8. Driving back up the M74 yesterday, the engine clicked for about a mile then 10 miles latter the engine stared braking the Land Rover, thankfully managed to get to the hard shoulder. No crunching sound like a timing belt jumping teeth. The mechanic came out from Lockerbie and after a bit said the cam shaft was frozen. Being a mechanical idiot any suggestions on how to try and free it or is it a garage job to strip down the engine. Also trying to find where the engine number is as I do now it was replaced approximately 10 years ago by the MoD. Thanks in advance
  9. Good point never thought about that when posting and hunting online

  11. Clive Many thanks, that is a bit further down the line, at present only want exterior to look right, internally latter maybe, but so glad to get the thing done, Richard
  12. Thanks to a scanned page from Clive got around today and fitted it, yippee looks good, without his help would be scratching head and getting splinters
  13. Am i reading date correctly or have you put wrong year in?
  14. I get it and don't use photobucket, some times when I preview I can delete them but not always
  15. I have found out the numbers of my type of vehicle are fewer than previously loan, i have spoken to my insurance company and they are not sure how to proceed. Does anyone know of a specialist insurance valurer for military vehicles hopefully in Scotland
  16. I missed this yesterday when looking at the First Ministers statement, question is what about historic vehicles? The policy is different from Central Government http://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/scotland-to-ban-petrol-and-diesel-car-sales-by-2032/ar-AArlFT2?li=AA8sb7&ocid=ientp
  17. I don't have a source as yet but was always under the impression that the RTA only applied to public i.e. adopted roads. When we went down to Bisley we were always advised that the Police were invited onto the site and could enforce only after permission given by the operators
  18. Thanks, I could only find this one in what I think was Japanese
  19. I can find source for the metal parts but not any complete, now I know the name, I feel they are a lot better than ring binders
  20. Clive Thanks but these are A4, my new 4 hole punch works on them. All the best Richard
  21. Having started to try and get all the documents in proper looking folders with the names down the spine I have run out of these folders, does any one know the official name and order number and a source? The gap is about 2 inch
  22. Look online with Land Rover Monthly or Land Rover owners magazine, they have been looking at them, in fact I think some of the pages are on repairs to them and give a cost
