Yes, that is a useful diagram, it comes from the UHB for the winterisation kit to show the existing system before fitting the additional bits for the insulation jacket. There was also an immersion heater kit.
I can't remember how I found out but I think there were only 3 full kits supplied to the Army & 7 to the RAF.
Many thanks again, I will have a look tomorrow, daft thought was to try first by putting it upright and waggle the handle to see if it's a bit of something and let gravity see if it will loosen.
If not spanner time, will post what I find

Doesn't the valve just un-bolt from the outlet of the tank? It looks like a Saunders ball valve. Not sure of the size of the valve in your case, but here's a link to an 1.1/2" one on-line and a table of sizes.
Saunders Ball Valve 1 1/2″ - WG Tanker
Trouble is i work away so cant nip out and look, but it does look like this
Thanks

Many thanks for this, I think I need to get good weather and have a look
A thought does occur that these elements may be broken which is causing the issue
Will have another look at it next weekend weather permitting
I have a Penman for it once working

Yes it's more to carry water for plants and animals.
I suppose next question is apart from regularly moving the tap, what to lubricate the tap with?

Many thanks, it's not an urgent job but need to get done before summer.
I was putting release oil aside for the moment as thinking of tainting the water.
Will keep posted if I get it sorted

Many thanks, I think this is a development from the article in one of the land rover magazine, it's always great to learn about any mod items you hold

Stirling would be ABRO , possibly the 110 were rounded up in Scotland at Stirling to examine for sound chassis (the basic requirement & they got it wrong at times). Then sent on a transporter to Hobson who AFAIK did the work ?
Many thanks, I will send an email to Hobson's, as it's always interesting to follow a vehicle history

A stab in the dark - possibly a HD Wolf upgrade incorporate to Tithonus, or possibly pure Tithonus ? - I would send the photographs & query direct to Hobson Industries , they did the Tithonus contract & possibly still have parts.
The Merlin report I have says mine went to Stirling, Hobson based in Louth, would that be with same company?
Thanks in advance

Does anyone want one?
Rust removal
in Weapons/Accessories
Posted
I have used viniger to remove rust and paint with good success.
Small parts in a Chinese food tray.
This adjustable spanner came as part of an original Land Rover tool wrap and was jammed.
The Chinese container to small and the one with the tent pegs had been soaking for a while.
Got an Irn Bru bottle and put the head in, never thought there would be capillary action.
Apart from the fact it's still jammed the artistic will like what's happening
