I have rebuilt many master cylinders. The seals are a pain to do, however there is a method and once you know how to do it it’s not so bad. You need to soak the seals in hot water until they become soft enough to fit over the piston without tearing. This could be 5 mins, sometimes 10 mins. The grease in the kit also helps with this. I find it helps to clamp the piston in a vice so you can use both thumbs to push the seal on. Using tools will tear it.
Interesting about soaking them in hot water. Personally I do the same but with previously heated hydraulic fluid (warm) I will try water next time!

Hi Simon.
I could help you with that, since I have done it recently. But I think Shirc put it on a plate for you...
Two observations if you can't find the Min19 seals at that supplier, Richard Banister has them. If you do not have practice changing the master cylinder seals, purchase a few more sets than you need, because it is easy to break one of the rubber seals when assembling it. If you think the master cylinders are too bad to recover, you also have them new or rebuilt at the usual dealers. -

Are you using lined steel, or something else?
At the moment, I'm planning to do a mix of 2" lined steel, 2" sintered bronze, and also try a couple of each at the full 5". Someday I'll have it running and will be able to report on what works the best.
bronze coated steel.
For civilian life, I sense that sintered bronze can be good, at least it won't cause so much wear on the pivot axis.
of course in the Mod. It does not appear that they were given adequate maintenance, certainly not in their last few years in service. -
I am glad to know that you are mounting the sleve bearings and that these 3 inch ones fit correctly. In principle there should be a difference of a few tenths with the originals. I am in your same situation and I am waiting for a complete set of them to proceed with the change.

If you are looking for sealing, I think it is important to change the rear pivot axle seals, or at least their rubbers (personally some of mine are mounted wrong and with deformed rubbers) but these are difficult to find. The O-ring that sits in the pivot axle channel is a standard size (BS334) in X-ring or quad-ring version (in mine some of them were normal round o-rings) of course it is essential to change the sleeve bushings for new ones. any excess play in the pivot axle will have an effect on the lack of tightness of the assembly. By the way, the 3-3/16 sleeve bushings have a slightly smaller external diameter than the original ones.

Probably the easiest thing is to take them to a local supplier who will look for them, or manufacture them to measure.

This engine was later used in export vehicles. Those used in Spain also mount the T6-3544 engine

talk to Robert Dove ...
maybe it has something of your interest... -

Everything uses OMD 80 - OMD90 equivalent to SAE 30 and SAE 10/30. probably SAE 15/40 is fine, but in the gearbox I would prefer to use SAE 30 or 10/30...

These people have one, probably at more than you’re willing to spend though! https://www.eics-products.co.uk/shop/panels/6110998184829-box-distribution-emergency-crew-control/
but quite a bit cheaper than here-https://www.thexmod.com/item_detail.asp?id=741&t=Emergency_Crew_Controll_Box_MK_2__FV702523
Thanks ltwtbarmy
I know that these two stores have NOS in stock ... but I'm really looking for something less expensive ... actually it is a part that has no effective use, except to complete the interior of the turret ...

Anyone with experience in CVR T scorpion mounted night sight? I need to rebuild the wiring that connects it to the night sight control box (it was cut off) so the 19 pin plug is missing ....
Does the connection diagram appear in any manual?
I also think that my night sigt control box is inadequate (only two sokets) which I think is the one used in 30mm ...someone to enlighten me about it?
Regards and thanks....

I was unaware of Richard's death... the last time I ordered something must have been at the beginning of the year, and I noticed a certain slowness in shipping and treatment in general. but the spare parts arrived perfectly.
