  1. One for sale on eBay for £30
  2. Yeah I knew they weren't for a series but I did think that they would be interchangeable. Maybe I won't bother with them and try and find some SWB bench seats.
  3. Have you got a picture mate?
  4. Well that's a bummer. Mine has a hard top so I'm probably going to have rig something up or find an alternative.
  5. I purchased a pair of radio operator seats for my S3 FFR. Just wondering is there a a bracket for the to fit to?
  6. She purrs like a kitten https://vimeo.com/112316336
  7. Mike that's brilliant! Cheers for that. We're off and flying now. I searched all over the net and only found one supplier and at £6.50 with a minimum spend of £10 I thought it was a bit steep! That saved a fiver.
  8. Hey all Got her started today but had to do a bit of surgery on the fuel system. The cork washer on the fuel tank selector switch has perished. Does anyone know of a good supplier for this part? Cheers Jim
  9. No, I'm not a fan of ABInBev. Would much prefer to go somewhere like cantillon
  10. Ahh, there's a small brewery there. Is it Artois or something ;-)
  11. Hi all Jim, 27 from sunny writtle! A brewer in real life but by night I neglect my wife of four weeks for another lady, "Daisy" For years I've wanted a LR and finally got my hands on a series 3 109 FFR. Doing it up as a project with 2 good mates. I know I've already asked one but apologies for all the questions I'll be asking. Cheers!
  12. Thanks Ruxy! Just need a clansman set after this is sorted!
  13. How would I get the screened cable to fit a normal s2/3 capacitor, is it the same screw in fitting? Ruxy, did you change those HT leads from screened to push on's? Jim
  14. Hi all new here. I picked up a very nice looking 1977 109 FFR last week as a project for myself and two mates, one a mechanic and the other ex-army driving instructor She is fairly sound, body is nice and straight and most work is cosmetic. We changed the oil and fuel on Tuesday and cleaned all the points ect. We found an issue with the fuel pump and know that it needs to be changed so we decided to do all the points, plugs, leads and dizzy at the same time. Now this is what our electrics look like What we have is the 24-12v reducer connected to the coil with the shielded wires. Then from the coil to the shielded dizzy cap. Then unshielded HT leads going to normal Bosch spark plugs. We don't want to spend £12 on each spark plug so want to convert the ignition to unshielded but keep the rest of the 24v system in place. Can this be done? If so, is it easy? Gives me a headache thinking about it! Any help very much appreciated.
