  1. In the MV world, the "Holy Grail" is probably to find an original Jeep in its shipping crate. Of course, other than those at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in the holds of sunken ships, it's very unlikely anyone will ever find one. The whole "Jeep in a crate for $50" idea came from a post war scam, trying to con people out of their money. However, there are a number of photos around the net showing Jeeps in crates, although how they were packed and how disassembled they were seems to vary from picture to picture. This model was built for a friend, with the hood number matching his Jeep. The Jeep is from the 1/35 scale Italeri kit with a scratch built crate from ramin strip wood and 1/32 birch plywood. The metal tie down straps are black painted paper, with painted wire over paper holding the wheels into the tub. It is presented in an A4 box frame.
  2. I'm after a jeep radiator it will be for display purposes only, so doesn't need to be servicable
  3. I have been interested in Military Vehicles for some 8yrs and have just finished the restoration of my Ford GPW Jeep, it has taken some 8 1/2 months for a wheel up restoration. And whilst I was restoring the Jeep (it was totally stripped down), a vehicle came on the market for sale which I could not miss, as I had been looking for one some 4yrs for one. a Dodge WC12. The one thing about the dodge it had be totaly rebuilt some 8yrs ago, and will need little to do to make it ship shape again. Both my sons are now taking an interest, and my eldest son Scott has helped me alot with the Jeep. I have possible have iron in the fire with another vehicle, so we all have one to drive. That a little insight about me and my sons
