Hi folks. Picked up a no. of these holdalls at a local event. I know the printing shows it is for a sight, but any-one know old they may be and what was the unit in it. No date marks at all. The clips for the carrying strap are the same as on Clansman CES bags and the S6 resp. case. The material is allso very much the same. Thanks. Andy.

Hi I have a first aid pouch, I assume issued with OG PLCE but the attatchment seems very basic just a single vertical strap, no "C" clip or velcro flap. Just wondering if it was part of standard kit or not. It's OG PLCE material, has a single fastex clousure and folds open to reveal 3 pouches one is open, the other 2 have velcro'd lids The info printed on it: "PACK MEDICAL EQUIPMENT 6545-99-978-4567 SL32A/5077 RR90" ( theres also a tiny circular stamp I assume a QC mark can't make out the words but it has a 38 in the center)

By unusual I mean not part of standard squaddie CEFO including drop pouch web set, aka"SAS pouches". Firstly standard 58" belt with rollpin buckle from an ALICE rucksack, nylon seat belt. on the belt left to right: Knife pouch, Armalite/M16 pouches, 44" waterbottle, Escape pouch, 44" waterbottle, and SLR pouches. On the rear nothing special, but you can see the new belt loop and repairs I made on the 44" bottles, I carefully stitched the bottles to the ammo pouches (easily removed) to reduce the amount of movement on the belt, I use a 58" yoke (not shown) which helps to stop the rear pouches slipping around, on the front of the yoke I added 44" style C clip like the rear to attatch to the front.

Hi I managed to buy a mint condition SMG double magazine pouch, for £7. It is completly unmarked, no wear marks at all, apart from the still visible chalk manufacturing marks, the store refs are clearly visible: "M.W.&S. LTD. 1974 (arrow) CN 8465-99-136-1905". will post a piccy asap. (I bought it from an antiques shop just off the highstreet, in Sheringham, Norfolk. loads of other kit there quite alot from the 1940's period.

Looking for some replacement tilt webbing for land rover hoods... probably more than exmoor or similar co. would be happy to supply me with as i am manufacturing Fire Water Rot Proof Non Shrink Hoods and have run down my old supply of heavy duty natural webbing - old supplier seems to have vanished. The webbing is 25mm, looks like rope edge and is of course that lovely orange-beige colour.... god knows why but being repro.. i'd want to keep the colours and weave as close as possible to original land rover hood webbing colour. My Hoods are made out plain weave POLY COTTON FWR Fire Water Rot proof long life canvas and hoods are NON SHRINK yet breathable. Any suggestions on the webbing / strapping would be greatly appreciated. Kindest. Matt ) Sussex info@moorcroftengineering.com

Hi Need some expertise from you. Bought some surplus stuff and found some old backpacks. Many of them seem to be of British origin. They are stamped 1940 and 1941. The CF stamp is Danish for sure (Civil Forsvaret). Got some 40-50 pcs. Are they worth anything and when/where were this kind of backpacks in use (before they ended in a Danish warehouse). Thanks Kim
