  1. Looking for a headlamp for my Mk II* carrier as per photo ( I have the blackout cover already) and an original user handbook. Also looking for 1 off British Butlers blackout headlamp complete for my Dingo. Thanks Chris
  2. Just wondering if anyone has a ‘scrap’ Abbot or one they are breaking/spares available? I have a complete Abbot (FV433) and command post (FV432) working radio comms set up in my garage(see photo) and I am now looking for a couple of extra ‘peripheral’ items to add to it. These are the: *Induction Loop JB FV562042 (mounted on the inside turret top) for the FV433. See photo below. *Internal and external electrical ‘batten’ boxes for the FV432 (for remote comms and line terminal box connections). Many thanks, Brian
  3. I am looking for a pair of front seats suitable for a 1940 Humber PU
  4. UPDATE 15/09/2022 Hello Folks, Well it's been a few years again so I thought I would have a hunt around and ask if anyone had spare copies of the following.... I'm only too happy to scan and return, or purchase if you were up for that. I'll make them available for folk when I have copies 😁 (I'm in the middle of scanning what I currently have in). Additional Air Ministry References would also be great if anyone had a catalogue of those? Any other links/references/assistance gratefully appreciated, thanks. I'm intending to make up a suite of manuals and have them available. I'm interested in copies of literature both the DV/DF and SV/SF Models, there's a number of subtle differences between them and different/respective documents were issued to cover them. Both were however named/preceded by No.1 Mk.1 in their nomenclature so its something to look out for 😣 Looking for: Army Code No.9563 - Drill for Generating Sets 27.5kVA (Meadows) No1 Mk1 1959 Army Code No.11031 - Plant Servicing Schedule - P SS 130 - Generator? Code No.11375 Identification List I believe there were 1970s re-issues of manuals but the references I have are sparce. I have a SEME user Handbook from 1980 but that's a bit of an aberration. If anyone has the Bordon Training Manuals (or their references) that would be superb! The SV/SF (Single Voltage Single Frequency) units appear to have dropped away first, or perhaps they were made in lower numbers? This is the type with the wardrobe-sized control panel on the rear end, large gauges and cast iron isolators. Also appears to have been more commonly fitted with an electric start/charge system, although this option was available for either unit. The DV/DF (Dual Voltage Dual Frequency) units appear to have been a little more common, better waterproofed, usually air-starting. 5. Good afternoon, This is my first posting on this forum, so hopefully it comes out right! I’m in the process of putting together a (working and authentic) complete Abbot and command post (FV432) radio and line communications system, to complement my other Larkspur radio communication projects and equipment (see my radio amateur call sign G3YVW on QRZ.com). I have the command post equipment, repaired and tested, but need to complete the Abbot equipment. I was able to visit the Muckleburgh Military collection a few weeks ago in Norfolk, very kindly being given permission by the owner, to have unrestricted access to one of their Abbots. This has helped me greatly see how the system is put together in practice and to see the items I am still in need of. I am putting together the Larkspur version of the comms system, rather than the later updated Clansman version, although I understand that it was only the radio (Larkspur) that was replaced with the Clansman (352?), all of the wiring and harness items from the original Larkspur fit remaining the same. So the items I am on the lookout for, maybe from someone who is breaking an Abbot, or from an Abbot no longer required, etc are:- Larkspur B48 VHF radio Radio-line Box - see photo Intercommunication junction box - see photo Intercommunication junction box (FV562042) - see photo Emergency crew junction box - see photo Receiver Induction unit as used by the crew (with the induction loop) - see photo Many thanks for reading this, and hopefully someone out there can help! Brian
  6. Hello, I'm looking for a 7" diameter layrub drive shaft coupling. Many thanks, Eddie
  7. Hi I am looking for a hip ring frame / cupola frame for my MWC Don't suppose anyone has one lurking in dark corner they no longer need There was one for sale on this forum a long time ago (Ben Rippingham was the seller) I believe that the doameter of the inner ring is 24" Cheers Richard
  8. Looking for 4 off of the following: 1/2" BSF 16tpi @ 3/4" long (or longer) countersunk slotted set screws My usual sources do not have this size or have sold out. Anyone have some? or point me to a source please Thanks Pete
  9. Hi there. New to the forum. Don't know if I'm wise but I am interested in purchasing a Humber Pig and/or a Saracen. Always been fascinated in them since seeing them on the streets of N.I. in my younger days. I've a keen interest in the iconic vehicles used during the Troubles. Not sure if I'd prefer the Pig MK2 for the proper N.I. 'look' or the less hassle that comes with a MK1 (so I'm led to believe!). I wouldn't want it as an ornament, definitely would have it in use, personal and commercial. A few questions as many of the posts with good info are nearly 10 years old now :- Do these vehicles come up for sale often and what sort of price these days for a good refurbished one? Are there any experts on here could give me any advice? MK1/MK2? Possible to get the MK2 look on a MK1? With the barricade buster? Would they be reliable enough to use these days? Are parts easily obtainable? Are they easy to work at? How hard are they to maintain (basics i.e. Oil, grease etc) by someone who doesn't have much experience? Would a general heavy mechanic/fitter be able to work their way round these machines? Is a Saracen just completely out of the question in 2017? Doing my research, it seems Saracens are a bit of a nightmare with possibly the Pig a tad more manageable? Thanks in advance.
  10. I'm searching for power distribution units, that were connected to army generators, FEPS, Light Field Generator, Harrington.... Especially 400V Distribution and 230V Distribution with AC connectors. Some are shown here: https://www.blakley.co.uk/sites/default/files/DDS401_FEPS_Compatible_Distribution.pdf
  11. Hi A bit of a long shot, but I am looking to reproduce a data plate for my MWC. The plate relates to priming the power pump before use. I was thinking about getting one etched, but I think the etching depth won't be enough. The size of the plate is 2.5" x 2.5" Does anyone have one of these I could borrow to make a copy or better still does anyone have one for sale? Cheers Richard
  12. Hi I am after some 3/4" ID corrugated water hose pipe for my Bedford MWC Any ideas where I can get some ? Cheers Richard

  15. Hi I am after a 2" "pipe" support, it is intended to support a 2" bar and not to house a bearing. The closest thing I have found is a split bearing housing which I could machine out to 2" If anyone has any other thoughts on what I could use instead, these would be welcome. Have already thought of using a scrap crank shaft bearing holders Cheers Richard
  16. Hi I am looking for a "T" port valve for my MWC. I believe that all the connections are 7/8" BSP, one with these size fittings would be ideal, but a similar valve with 3/4" BSP would be just as good. (I do have the flange which is shown in the second photo) [Also still looking for pumps and filters] Thanks in advance Cheers Richard
  17. Hi Guys looking for a ford flathead 4 speed gearbox for the carrier and the clutch bell housing anybody any ideas where theres some for sale? cheers tom

  19. Hi I am looking for a replacement water pump for a Bedford TM type engine 8.2L 500 series for a Saxon APC. The part number I believe is 91044882, the pulley has a separate part number of 91092552. These are taken off the pump. I cannot check that these are correct as I do not have a copy of AESP 2815-K-060-721 Any leads would be useful, or any recommendations as to where I can get it refurbished would be most helpful Cheers Richard
