Years ago when I had my first DUKW the late Bill Keen had a DUKW register. I am trying to revive the idea & have started a blog in the hope that others will add to the list so that we can all see how many of these are left, & in what condition. So, with the HMVFs permission, can I post my blog address? It is http://dukwchassisnumbers.blogspot.fr/ Thanks guys!

Greetings from the United States. I am interested in hearing from other owners of the Cab Over Autocar U-7144-T. I am looking for a cab bow for the canvas and original data plates. I would also enjoy hearing from others regarding their restoration and operation. Best regards. P. M. "Marty" Fravel Virginia- USA email- fravel@clemson.edu

Hi, This summer I wanted to raise a bit of money for Help for Heroes. My plan was to bring my DUKW to a show I've been invited to and give kids rides in the back around the field. This unfortunately raises insurance proplems my brokers told me). 1). If a kid trips on the bangs their head ( if I'm showing the vehicle while it's static) my road insurance won't cover me (they said). 2). I can carry kids for free as the field temporarily comes under the Highways act (they said) for the duration of the show BUT if I charge people it is for 'Hire & reward' and the personal, social & domestic insurnce won't cover it. (I daren't even think about driving licence classes). I've rang around insurance companies and nobody would touch it. Does anyone have any ideas who would cover the vehicle? Thanks Don

Good morning all, Does anyone else remember a fully working DUKW at Wickstead Park in Northamptonshire back in the 80's. I remember going there and having a ride out onto the lake. I asked a couple of years ago if it was still there but alas no one knew of it or could tell me anything about it. It probably went up for sale once the health and safety lot got their teeth into it!!!!!! Regards, Simon OOEC18

Hello everyone, My name is Alex and I have lost a DUKW. I know it sounds a bit careless but it was an old rusty dukw sitting on Sibson Airfield cambs. It was removed without my knowledge and no one will tell me where it has gone. I have a V5 log book for it, so it has been "Taken Without Owners Consent". TWOC is a serious crime so I have not called the police.....yet (I dont want whoever has it to panic and scrap it). I would simply like my dukw back, if you know who has it tell them to contact me. I will not press charges if returned. Its easy to recognise... very rusty, no interior, bedford engine, wrong roof hoops and a folding ladder where the winch should be.
