AmmoMan
Was dreaming about this island when I spotted a cheeky Stolly waiting to be floated home (40 secs) https://www.galbraithgroup.com/property/cad170101-little-ross-island-kirkcudbright-dg6-4tr
earlymb
Good eye, took a while before I spotted it!
TankNutUK
Just the vehicle for getting around and the island life. I wonder what condition it is in after all that salt in the Scottish sea air?!
Grasshopper
I'd say given the mechanical complexity, voracious appetite for fuel and the likely lack of heavy-lifting equipment on an Island, prospects for keeping one going are slim... saying that being off road should be kinder to wheel stations, but the salty environment would have its effect. I remember travelling in one at Caldey Island and seeing the remnants of the other Stollies there. Amazed even that one was still running at all given the state of them!
