Skint George
I have a 24v militarised Swiss army CJ5 that needs new points, condenser and coil. A couple of jeep part suppliers sent me the parts for the M38A1 version but that was wrong. My distributor is made by Bosch and the part number is 0231161002 JFM4. If anyone knows the part numbers for the points and condenser and where I can get them I would really appreciate it. Also the coil is different from other jeep coils I've seen. My coil doesn't have a makers name on it but it does have a serial number stamped on the base and is 0221112002 24v. Looking at photos, my coil looks more like a Unimog coil. Photo of my coil hopefully attached, sorry it's lying down! Any help appreciated. Thanks, George Edited February 7, 2017 by Skint George
Nick Johns
I think the 24V equipment was fitted by the Swiss, Email a Swiss Army vehicle dealer to see if they can supply the parts https://www.pinzgauer.com/vehiclelist.php?cat=8 Edited February 10, 2017 by Nick Johns

May be cheaper to see if a 24v distribtor and coil from an M38A1 same engine? or possibly from a Hotchkiss 24v distributor will fit, for which points, etc are available ok
Skint George
Hi Nick. Clive Elliott found a supplier of the Bosch coil for me at a very good price. As these Bosch parts are already in place, I'm going to try stick with them for now. I'm trying to keep the costs down for now as I've spent a hell of a lot of cash buying parts from the USA and here. If and when I have to, I'll look at M38A1 parts.
