hi,

do you know who bought the saracens from cheffins a few weeks back might be interested in one:-)

There are two I believe, parked next to the Shippea Hill railway line (near Mildenhall)

In Freds yard. I think one of them is the cheffins one but may be wrong.

I find this one very interesting, it is described as a Matador, the cab looks very SUCOE FWD to me and the crane is a work of art.

I think that it is a FWD SUCOE as well, the wheels don't look right although the axle ends look like FWD SUCOE, probably had later wheels fitted with duals on the rear axle. Definitely an interesting crane, were any fitted to SUCOEs or is it a later addition?

The crane on the FWD is a British Mead Morris crane, almost certain it is a postwar civvy addition, check out the other vehicles in the sale including the WW1 Trucks 2 Latils, 1916 Peugeot, 1910 De Dion, 1920 Garford

Hi Nick,

I think another error crept in Cheffins catalogue, the crane would more likely be a Mead-Morrison, made in the USA. Think they had connections with Gar Wood.

regards,

Richard

I drove past last week, there are two there, they will be for sale I am sure, but may not be the Cheffins one, however the

mobile number on the gate read : 07957027067.

Hope this helps.
