One pointer Mr Commander . . .!!!

Can we have better public parking supervision on the back field for us mere cannon fodder mate?

Was pain last year as public just kept parking their cars in front of displays and sodding off! Some moved when asked, most just gave 'The Look' and carried on!

Bit of a pain as it takes us ages setting up just to have display blocked by Muppets too lazy to park further down field.

My only gripe really, apart from that bloody cider, loopey juice stuff!! You may have to lay on an escort service to get me from bar to tent, apparently I started heading down railway line!!! Lol

There will be no public parking in the exhibition field in 2016, all civilian vehicles will have to park in the field

on the other side of the bridge and all exhibitors can park there civilian cars and vans further down the track

out of sight so there is no hiding your vehicle behind your tent " this was another gripe " also we will be having

escorted tours home to their tents for the old and infirm and incapable I will let you figure which you fall into

Lol, so that's a 12 x12 camo net over the van then and all three of the others after the cider, old, infirm and defiantly incapable!!

Hang on, my van wasn't behind tent, it was parked on far side away from exhibits!

Can't wait mate, really enjoyed last year, good group, good laugh just bit quiet on the punters.

Well, when I take the time and trouble to attend a weekend event, I expect to see the organiser staying on site to ensure that the event is run properly, from a safety perspective, as he is the responsible person if things go belly up.

Well seeing as I am only one of the organisers of this event and the Foxfield Railway Committee are the ones supplying the safety officers and overnight security and when we are on sight from the Wednesday till the Tuesday sorting things out so it does not go belly up and I am sure that the organisers of the war and peace show and other shows camp out over night to be on hand or do they delegate others in their absence to keep an eye on things

Hi guys all are welcome to attend and we will be there beforehand for anybody wanting to come early and

also a Monday departure for those who do not have a tight deadline to keep but a word of warning about the

scrumpy cider and the special strong draught beers they have on sale in the bar gives me a terrible headache

in the morning so you have been warned we also have some of the free commemorative china mugs we had

done for 2015 left so if anyone did not pick theirs up drop me a line and I will put one to aside for you

If anyone knows of any traders who might be interested in coming along to our shindig over the weekend this

is "FREE" even to traders who attend and trade all we ask is if you have a good show is to make a small donation

to Foxfield Steam Railway without who we could not put this on

It has just been confirmed that on Saturday night "21st" there will be a live band playing at the Railway Station

and the best part is it is "FREE" to attend the only down side is you will have to supply your own alcoholic beverage

or buy it in the bar, on Saturday afternoon there will be a road run around the local area

Just a note mate, find out if they have a small shunt engine there called LEYS I think. I know it was restored th e re a few years ago. It's the only one left from Leys Mallable Castings Ltd, Derby. They made uk carrier tracks during the war and didn't close until 1984!

This engine was actually made by W G Bagnall Ltd in Stafford.
